BUMPER BETDAQ CARD AT KEMPTON: Today Daqman takes you race by race through a BETDAQ-sponsored card at Kempton Park of around 90 runners in eight races over three-and-a-half hours. He finds a fascinating crop of fillies with a future, and a handicap nap.

SPARRING WITH THE BETDAQ LAYERS AT 15.0

2.10 Kempton (Betdaq.com £20 free Bet Maiden Stakes) Top-class sprint stallions are represented here via Hamish McGonagain (son of Kyllachy, sire of Sole Power), and Joules (by Oasis Dream, whose get includes Muhaarar).

Chasing them with a high score among AW stallions is Holy Roman Emperor, who is responsible here for Artistically.

Joules is brother to an Irish Guineas winner but races more like a sprinter; Hamish McGonagain is half-brother to Group-2 sprinter Jimmy Styles.

Bill Turner has had a very poor season, and is claiming off Just That Lord, as if his eye is on a handicap mark. Teresar was well backed on her debut, and took over the favourite’s slot of Joules early mouse.

3.10 Kempton (Cash Out On The Betdaq App Maiden Fillies’ Stakes, Div 1) Barleysugar is also by Kyllachy but her grandam won a Yorkshire Oaks, and she shaped well over CD a month or so back.

Ralph Beckett does really well with fillies and Sparring Queen, who also showed promise over the Kempton CD on her debut, is by War Front, sire of the Ballydoyle juvenile star, Air Force Blue, and who gets plenty of winners on man-made surfaces.

That’s in marked contrast to Poet’s Voice, sire of both Calliope and You Wish, who has yet to have a single winner on AW.

Farandine sets the standard on her first-time Newmarket second in a race that has already thrown up winners (third and sixth have scored since).

The BETDAQ market sees Farandine beating Barleysugar, with classy newcomer Dutch Destiny (William Haggas) a bit too easy to back but Sparring Queen huge offers at 15.0.

Luca Cumani’s last two winners have been two-year-old maidens, so I’ll go with Farandine, with a bit of win and place Sparring Queen.

TRUST STOUTE WITH FAMILY HE KNOWS WELL

3.40 Kempton (Cash Out On The Betdaq App Maiden Fillies’ Stakes, Div II) This time the Haggas contender, Gravity Flow, has had a run, and a decent debut at that, second at Windsor. But she’s not from pedigrees that I follow, and is also a bit too short in the market for me at around even money.

Beckett has another of real potential: Secret Sense is half-sister to his Oaks runner-up Secret Gesture, so cruelly disqualified at Arlington Park recently (appeal pending).

The switch from turf to Polytrack could help Divine Touch, whose sire, Kheleyf, also does very well on man-made surfaces.

Keep an eye on Thrilled, a Kodiac filly, who is prepping for a big two-year-old fillies Sales race in October.

But I’m going to split my stakes between Charlie Appleby’s well-bred Peppering and Sir Michael Stoute’s Queen’s Trust, whose sire does well on AW.

The dam (never out of the frame) and grandsire (winner first time out as a two-year-old) were both trained by Stoute: 6.6 this morning.

Sir Michael won a division of this race with a debutante, Queen’s Prize, in 2013, and did the same trick with a first-timer in 2009, while Charlie Appleby (Peppering, offered at 7.0) won BOTH divisions last season.

4.10 Kempton (Download Free Trading Software On Betdaqtraders.com Handicap) Roger Charlton catches the eye with his placing of the filly, Devonshire Place, but she is experimenting with a new trip and not bred to get it, whereas James Fanshawe’s Return Ace showed off her stamina over CD on the last day, albeit in a modest event.

Open The Red drops two levels from her exciting run at Goodwood, when she finished just in front of the subsequent Park Hill runner-up, with the Melrose winner the next one home.

Open the Red, who goes well fresh has had 51 days off since then (he got heat exhaustion that day; something very few of us can claim to have had in England this year!)

Saumur won a BETDAQ-sponsored race on today’s course about a month ago, and Magical Thomas scored here in July. It’s a very tricky handicap, with only a 5lb spread, excepting Saumur, who gets 11lb from the default topweight Azilian.

I shall dutch two of them, crossing my fingers that the Open The Red run is repeated – the handicapper wasn’t impressed and raised her only a pound – and reckoning Return Ace capable of improvement, supplied as she is with abundant stamina.

THE NAP CAN POWER HOME FROM THE FRONT

4.40 Kempton (Betdaq – We’re Serious About Horses Handicap) after a host of youngsters with serious potential, we now have a sprint at class-3 level to continue a really intriguing card.

Acolyte, a dual CD winner, tried a leap too far, up two grades to class 2 at Ascot on the last day, but should be up to winning this, dropped a grade.

The nearest threat, according to the market, is Mr Bossy Boots, and, though all his success has come at 7f, Acolyte’s make-all style could help him get competitive at the business end, if he can lie up.

5.10 and 5.40 Kempton (Betdaq.com 50% Commission Refund Handicap, Div 1 and 2) This ultra-competitive card of more than 90 competitors now has two divisions of a mile handicap, in which two more front-runners should go well again.

Godolphin’s Power Game (5.10) ran away with his maiden here last month, and his main worry, Si Senor, is still high in the handicap after three wins from four starts over CD last season.

War Strike (5.40) looks big at 11.0 on BETDAQ this morning. Forget his last run at Newbury (didn’t like the soft ground) and you have another maiden winner from the front with his first real chance in a handicap now.
