DAQMAN GOES 96 POINTS CLEAR OF PRICEWISE TO 10-UNIT STAKES: Daqman went 7-3 up on Pricewise yesterday and there’s 96 points of daylight between Daqman’s profit (+51.25) and Pricewise losses (-45) from 10-unit level stakes after Crossley Tender (WON 4-1) yesterday.

BIDDING FOR CROSS-CARD TREBLE OF BETDAQ BETS IN 35 MINUTES: Today Daqman has three win bets in 35 minutes at Kempton and Ludlow, plus a place saver on one of them to reach the frame for the 20th time in 22 starts. Feature of the day is Shishkin’s Altior path to steeplechase honours.

SHISHKIN TAKES THE ALTIOR ROUTE

Is this the new Altior? Nicky Henderson deliberately runs Shishkin at Kempton today in the race that launched Altior on his formidable path to glory over fences four years ago.

After five hurdles victories, including the Supreme Novices, Altior won 14 straight chases, starting in this one by 63 lengths from Black Corton.

Shishkin has won five over hurdles, also culminating in the Supreme Novices. I check out the form below.

⭕ 12.50 Kempton After a day off since Imperial Aura and First Flow were in stunning form at Ascot on Saturday, Kim Bailey tries to complete the treble here with Ludlow winner, Ajero, against Nicky Henderson’s Ascot winner in slower time on the soft, Captain Morgs.

Ajero was foiling a hat-trick by the runner-up at Ludlow and the third horse home won next time. Captain Morgs’ victims had won Points but nothing under Rules.

But Captain Morgs was also winning a race won by Altior and My Tent Or Yours for the Henderson stable, so we must surmise that he is from high on the Seven Barrows list of youngsters.

⭕ 1.25 Kempton In theory this is just an exercise gallop for Shishkin, hat-trick winner over hurdles, with the Supreme Novices’ success setting him officially at least a stone and a half in front of these.

He does have to jump the fences in a race won last year by Paul Nicholls with Saturday winner Mister Tommytucker.

But Paul’s hope today, Mick Pastor, fell when about to score at Fakenham the last day and wind ops since suggest that the four-year-old is short of class for this, and the 7lb age allowance will be much needed.

Sangha River also looked a lower level when he was tested in a novices’ Listed hurdle here at Kempton and was found wanting. His brother Hardline had won at Graded level by the time he was six.

INDEFATIGABLE THE HORSE IN FORM

⭕ 2.00 Kempton La Bague Au Roi’s 2017 strike in this race was part of a sequence of eight out of 10 as a star hurdler and novice chaser, including defeat of Lostintranslation.. but he never won another race!

Cill Anna completed three in a row early this year and was not disgraced on her recent return at Wincanton, while Indefatigable had a run back on the Lingfield AW recently after a Spring double over hurdles, which included the Martin Pipe at the Cheltenham festival.

Getaway Totherock has in-and-out form and her Hereford win the last day was in a poor time, despite the going on top.

Storm Goddess won a Pertemps qualifier here recently but is officially rated 20lb behind Indefatigable, who should win any argument with Cill Anna on today’s surface.

But, two years younger and a winter-ground lover, Cill Anna is the one for the future. Champagne Lilly, a prolific Pointer, also needed her return run and is one for chasing in time.

⭕ 2.10 Ludlow Robinshill, who won this chase in 2017, has looked better than ever with back-to-back wins over hurdles.

His weight for both disciplines is now high but it’s hard to fancy ex-French Dustin des Mottes, 1-10 over fences and unable to score in England so far.

Atlantic Storm is a big threat, however. He’s been 18 times in the frame (six wins) and is another today who needs to capitalise on the decent ground which is unlikely to last long.

Gets 16lb from Robinshill, who has twice before gone over the edge after two wins together. I took 3.0 Atlantic Storm on the BETDAQ Betting Exchange.

‘PARK’ IS ROCK SOLID FOR A PLACE

⭕ 2.35 Kempton Rocco shaped well on his return over hurdles, while Templepark and Lock’s Corner have solid CVs and both have recent form.

But punters prefer Getareason, a Graded hurdler who delighted Paul Nicholls with his third over fences at Sandown earlier this month.

Lock’s Corner likes good ground, is 2-3 over fences and, though 20-1 hurdling two grades higher at Cheltenham on the last day, shrugged off a rise of 20lb in that category – 10lb overall – finishing second and might well have won but for a bad mistake at one stage of the race.

Templepark has been in the frame – winning five – in 19 of his 21 starts under Rules, 20 out of 23 if you include his Points.

I’ll have a bit of BETDAQ 7.2 Templepark win and place, with Getareason yet to win a chase and Lock’s Corner trained by my nemesis, Jonjo O’Neill.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
