What a weekend!

NOW THE SEASON HAS SONGS TO REMEMBER: Immediately after the Irish 1,000 Guineas, Daqman wanted Homeless Songs on his side for the rest of the season in his Fortune Cookies (revised tomorrow). ‘Never turned a hair’.. ‘destroyed her field’.. and ‘extraordinary turn of foot,’ were some of the comments after Dermot Weld’s filly cruised home.

1,001 WINS AGAINST PRICEWISE

Daqman value is unbeaten since 2013. And in the current Flat campaign, the 18th season of the challenge to Pricewise of the Racing Post, he passed 1,000 winning bets on Saturday and added an Additional 9-1 winner yesterday.

With 25 already (and a profit of 235 points), Daqman has five months left of 2022 campaigning to try to best last year’s Flat score of 62.

But his best-ever season on the level was with 105 hits in 2015, followed by superbly consistent scores of 88, 86, 87 and 87 again in the four Flat seasons of 2016-19. So there could be another 62 in the coming weeks.

STROLL IN THE DUNSTALL PARK?

⭕ 3.10 Wolverhampton Alpine Stroll is taken to end the winning run of Autonomy in this 1m 6f handicap.

The Ed de Giles trained runner is fitted with blinkers for the first time but has shown enough on turf to suggest he can get competitive at this level – the lowest graded handicap he has competed in.

He was fairly highly tried last year running in competitive handicaps at York and Goodwood including the Melrose but the sights have been set much lower here. He wasn’t beaten far in fourth at Hamilton last time out and a reproduction should be good enough.

Autonomy bids for the hat-trick but his two recent wins have both come over 1m 4f and he is unproven over this trip. He’s also up another 3lb and might find life tougher.

Eagle One’s last win came here in December and might be a bigger danger. He looks sure to be suited by the step up in trip.

SHE’S LEADER OF THE PACK

⭕ 4.35 Ludlow Kilbarry Leader should again prove hard to beat against her fellow mares.

A point winner on debut she has run well in two bumpers since at Newcastle and Southwell last time out where she scampered four and a quarter lengths clear – despite being weak in the market.

Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero have won with three of their last 15 runners and the mare is taken to shrug off her penalty.

Chase Park is fitted with headgear for her debut whilst Call Me Tara has run a couple of solid enough races but doesn’t appear to be improving so far.

GIVING FAV THE PASS

⭕ 5.10 Windsor Morning favourite Silks Pass looks a little short on the BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE and is worth opposing with Aphelios who represents a yard in good form in Harry and Roger Charlton.

He has placed form in three all-weather races and the form looks solid enough.

Silks Pass ran well enough on handicap debut at Leicester but still needs to improve to land this.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
