44-1 BIG-RACE ONE-TWO AND 81 POINTS PROFIT: Another wonder Sunday for Daqman yesterday as he unleashed four winning Fairyhouse bets, making six for the weekend and an overall profit of more than 81 points. His one-two in the handicap took him into a 5-3 lead over his big-race rival, Pricewise, and paid 44-1 as a straight forecast with Ladbrokes:

WON (2nd 12-1 w/p) TUDOR CITY 16.0 on BETDAQ
WON 100-30 DELTA WORK
WON 4-6 APPLE’S JADE (supernap)

HE SCORES WITH FIVE CONSECUTIVE SUPERNAPS: Apple’s Jade was his TENTH winning nap from 13 for a profit of 255.70 in the two weeks to 20-unit stakes, including FIVE consecutive supernaps, as follows:

WON 5-4 POLITOLOGUE
WON 4-6 MIA’S STORM
WON 8-11 MENGLI KHAN
WON 11-4 WORTHY FARM
WON 4-6 APPLE’S JADE

UPDATE: HORSES TO FOLLOW: After a long weekend of trials, the Fortune Cookies begin to emerge, with the Flat’s 1,000-points-plus profit in mind. This week, Daqman is still following more leads from his preliminary list (below):

CHAMPION HAT-TRICK IS IN THE AIR

He’s a young old-fashioned superstar! Champion Hurdle sequence horse Istabraq was eight when he won his final championship and Hurricane Fly was nine.

Buveur d’Air suggested in Saturday’s Fighting Fifth, when he brushed aside the young pretender Samcro, that a championship hat-trick at Cheltenham in March is his for the taking, although he will turn eight on New Year’s Day.

Istabraq was completing his Cheltenham hat-trick in his 25th hurdle, Hurricane Fly his 20th when he scored his second success two years after the first.

Buveur d’Air? He’s had a mere 12 hurdles starts and won 11 of them. Still a novice! Here’s the revised Horses To Follow list:

BUVEUR D’AIR anihilated the Fighting Fifth field.
CHAMP hacked up in the Ladbrokes Hurdle, a Graded horse playing in a handicap.
CLAN DES OBEAUX, target the King George V1 Chase, Boxing Day
ELEGANT ESCAPE (2nd 4-1): ran well at the weights on Saturday, despite jumping indifferently; an even longer trip will sort that problem. Coral Welsh National, December 27
FRODON (2nd 16-1), Grand Sefton, Aintree, Saturday
JACK DILLINGER a winner at Fairyhouse on Saturday, running instead of Inca Gold
NATIVE RIVER King George, Boxing Day
PALMERS HILL Bristol Novices’ Hurdle, Cheltenham December.
POLITOLOGUE (WON 5-4) King George, Kempton, Boxing Day.
PRESENTING PERCY John Durkan, Punchestown, Sunday
ROCK THE KASBAH (WON 9-1) Becher Chase, Aintree, Saturday
ROCKPOINT might have won if he could have picked up a bit earlier at Newbury on Friday
SHATTERED LOVE John Durkan, Punchestown, Sunday; King George, Kempton, December 26
TIGER ROLL (2nd 11-4) Cheltenham cross-country, December.
VINTAGE CLOUDS (WON 100-30) Coral Welsh National December 27

Others: BOYHOOD, CHARBEL, ELDORADO ALLEN, FIDUX, INCA GOLD, LALOR, LE PREZIEN, MT LEINSTER (2nd 6-5), SHARJAH

Deleted: BLOW BY BLOW, CYRNAME, LEVER DU SOLEIL, THE LAST DAY, SPIRITOFTHEGAMES

SUPERNAP! CHARLIE IS MY DARLING

12.30 and 1.00 Plumpton Plumptious has a couple of classy horses running today. Unfortunately, they are isolated as long-odds-on favourites in the opening races.

You don’t have to rifle through the form to see that Kalasnikov (1.00) should enhance his Arkle claims. But can we score against Acey Milan in the opener?

Ten wins you 12 at around 6-5 for a place Kapdad from the local star stable, which was almost twice the potential for a win on Acey Milan but you get three chances of a return instead of one.

2.15 Musselburgh A better odds-on offer is Come On Charlie at 1.82 this morning, 4-5 or so. Has travelled from Somerset to follow up his Stratford success.

2.30 Plumpton Cheque En Blanc (BETDAQ 5.0) is a Gary Moore stablemate of Kapdad’s who has put back-to-back wins together before and can follow up his course success over further in November.
