DAQMAN’S SUPER SUNDAY: DAQMAN warmed up for Punchestown in sensational fashion on Sunday with three winners from four bets – netting a 54.2 point profit on the day. His winners were 9/2, 9/4 and a 2/1 winning nap L’INGANNO FELICE.

TODAY: Don’t miss DAQMAN’s Monday bets and an update on the great start to his ‘Fortune Cookies’ horses to follow.

TOMORROW: Punchestown begins !!

Super Sunday !!! The first three bets won yesterday, including the opening nap at 2/1. After that it kept getting better until Dashel dashed the dream day:

DAQMAN’S  SUNDAY BETS (staked to win 20 points)
BET 10.0pts win (nap) L’INGANNO FELICE (2.25 Market Rasen) WON 2/1
BET 7.4pts win SECRET INVESTOR (4.10 Stratford) WON 9/4
BET 4.5pts win MARY TUDOR (4.15 Navan) WON 9/2
BET 5.8pts win DASHEL DRASHER (6.00 Wincanton) lost

FORTUNE COOKIES’ GREAT-8 START

I’d like to have all the big winners. The Newmarket 1,000 Guineas, the French 1,000, the Dante and the Derby, the Chester Cup, all with horses to follow named here. But just one superstar would be enough.

We won both the Cheltenham cross-country and Liverpool Grand National at 7-1 and 10-1 with Tiger Roll in the Jumps season we’ve just had.

And Enable (four Oaks, King George and Arc) did the impossible for this column in the 2017 Flat season.

But it was all down to our Fortune Cookies’ stalking horses. Unless you keep abreast of the results and watch the champions emerge, you will miss the youngsters who make the heroes.

CRACKSMAN Placed in two Derbys before he won successively the Great Voltigeur, Prix Niel and Champion Stakes, once there was cut in the ground. Goes for the Prix Ganay, where he’s likely to get his conditions.

ENABLE We expect to see her reappear in the Coronation Stakes at Ascot, but we have more Spring engagements – and bigger prices expected – among the rest of the early squad of horses to follow.

MAGIC CIRCLE Normally an autumn horse, but again that’s probably because he has needed a bit of cut. Only fifth on a sound surface for the Chester Cup last May but beaten just a couple of lengths.

Since then has moved from Ralph Beckett to Ian Williams with Chester very much in mind. His owner now? None other than Mr Chester himself, Dr Marwan Koukash.

MAYBRIDE Hits the ground a bit hard but the drying Newmarket surface didn’t stop her storming clear in the opener on Craven Stakes day, with Richard Fahey’s aim (some black type) now seemingly almost certain.

SHARJA BRIDGE Roger Varian, who just started to get going last week, rates Sharja Bridge ‘improved out of all recognition;’ over the winter.

VERACIOUS While Soliloquy looked smart in winning the fillies’ Classic trial, Nell Gwyn Stakes, on Wednesday, work watchers were far more impressed by Veracious, without her seeing a race.

Veracious swerved the Nell Gwyn for a private racecourse gallop instead. The result of a ‘proper test’ was a scramble to grab the 8-1 and 10-1 available for the 1,000 Guineas. Smart mover (and I’m talking about the trainer, Sir Michael Stoute).

WITHOUT PAROLE My man in the long grass tells me that this is John Gosden’s Dante hope and Derby prospect.

ZARKAMIYA A daughter of Frankel out of wondermare Zarkava, made an impressive start to her career when cosily winning a warm-looking three-year-old fillies’ maiden at ParisLongchamp late last week.

She always looked like winning when launched with a sustained run down the outside, and was pushed out under a hands-and-heels ride.

The filly, who is trained by Alain de Royer-Dupre and was ridden by Christophe Soumillon in the colours of the Aga Khan, holds early entries in the French 1,000 Guineas, Prix Saint-Alary and Prix de Diane (their Oaks).

FOLLOW: Remember last Thursday my telling you that the Wood Ditton was hot again, a race likely to be full of winners in their next two starts.

Well, these are the horses to follow from a big field which seemed full of potential. Rock Force, Cogital, Prabeni, King Lud, Miltary Band and Surya.

PINEAPPLE MAY RUN OUT OF JUICE

2.50 Hexham Philip Hobbs sends Pineapple Rush on the long journey north to Hexham with two other raiders on the card but the form of the stable remains a concern (1 winner from last 34 runners) and I think ‘Pineapple’ is opposable under her penalty for a Sedgefield win.

She won very well at Sedgefield (heavy ground) but it was a very modest event in which there were were only four finishers and the runner-up was pulled up next time out. There already seems to be a few people appearing to think the same as she is 2.08 on BETDAQ at the time of writing and I fully expected her to be odds-on.

Most sensible choice to oppose her with would be Ardean Lass who is running consistently well and deserves a prize like this. She is rated the best in the race on the official ratings and receives a handy 7lb from Pineapple Rush.

There are still three places on BETDAQ so hopefully a win and place with the place bet ‘saving’ the win stake is a bet to nothing.

4.40 Pontefract This looks the safest division of the novice stakes as the first division run half an hour earlier has Shatharaat -an interesting debutant from Mark Johnston’s stable.

This race should all be about experience and the runner that brings most of that to the table is Lucky Lucky Man and the grey looks a good bet.

He has plenty of experience on testing ground and although a beaten favourite at Newcastle first time out this season should be better for that run and will hopefully relish the extra furlong and the stiff finish at Ponty.

Likely favourite is Ingenuity who should be OK trip wise but his win came on good to firm ground and it’s soft in places here. He looks short in the market after a 256 day break against a race fit rival.

6.50 Windsor Fajjaj is much better than a class 5 animal. He’s in that grade tonight for his seasonal reappearance having made a winning debut at Ascot last season and then following up with a cracking fourth in the Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes at Newmarket which was on the same good to soft ground expected tonight.

Loyal Promise is another penalised winner who won well at Wolverhampton but it would surely be disappointing if Fajjaj didn’t outclass him off levels.

DAQMAN’S BETS (win bets staked to win 20 points)
BET 5.4pts win and 13.5pts place stakes saver (2.50 Hexham)
BET 5.5pts win LUCKY LUCKY MAN (4.40 Pontefract)
BET 13.3pts win (nap) FAJJAJ (6.50 Windsor)
