20-1 BETDAQ BET FOR THE 1,000 GUINEAS: Daqman, who bagged 60 points profit from last year’s winner of the 2,000 Guineas, is looking for another big hit in next Sunday’s 1,000 Guineas; he has one bet today at 21.0, and one on the day of the race.

2022: O’Brien Can Toy With The 1,000 (See below)

DAQMAN MADE 4-7 FAVOURITE A NO-HOPER: Daqman has scored 2-2 with Lays Logic, after knocking out another favourite yesterday – his second hot lay in three days – when Fresh Hope could finish only third of seven at 4-7.

EVENING SERVICE: Three evening bets from DAQMAN on Monday starting with the Listed race at Naas at 6.15pm.

O’BRIEN CAN TOY WITH THE 1,000

Ballydoyle is back in pole position. The 1,000 Guineas market crashed yesterday with the withdrawal of the favourite, Inspiral, who is not yet ready for top-line action.

That puts Team Gosden out of it and the leading Classic-trials player so far, Charlie Appleby, seemingly has only a wild card for Sunday’s first fillies Classic, Wild Beauty, who was behind Prosperous Voyage, Cachet and Mise En Scene in the Fillies Mile.

She will need to improve no end on her Fred Darling victory in moderate time over 104-rated Jumbly. So focus must surely now turn on Aidan O’Brien’s three aces:

TENEBRISM Now the only undefeated filly left in the 1,000. Winner of the Cheveley Park, with the Lowther Stakes runner-up, Sandrine, in third.

She’s a high-class filly, though her pedigree doesn’t grab you and there must be a doubt about her getting the trip.

There’s been no Cheveley Park winner of the 1,000 since Special Duty in 2009 (that was a victory in the stewards’ room after interference) and only one other since 1993.

TUESDAY Much more like it on breeding. She is sister to Minding (Newmarket 1,000 Guineas, Epsom Oaks) and Empress Josephine (Irish 1,000 Guineas).

Held just a short-head on debut at The Curragh by subsequent Moyglare winner, Discoveries, and landed the odds on reappearance at Naas in March.

TOY Also inspires on breeding, by Galileo out of a sister to Giants Causeway. Toy herself is sister to Gleneagles (2,000 Guineas), Marvellous (Irish 1,000), Moyglare and Lagardere winner Happily and Joan Of Arc (French 1,000).

At Cork only nine days ago, she beat Esculenta five lengths, after that one finished just a couple of lengths or so behind Tuesday at Naas.

*DAQMAN ANTE-POST: 21.0 Toy on BETDAQ Sportsbook. Previously for the 2,000 Guineas, 3.5 Native Trail on BETDAQ. All ante-post bets are staked to win 50 points.

A PROPOSAL YOU’LL LOVE

⭕ 6.15 Naas (Woodlands Stakes, Listed) Plenty of early support for last year’s winner Mooneista but the filly looks to have a tougher task on her hands tonight.

She went on to win a Group 2 and so has to carry a 5lb penalty in tonight’s race and meets Romantic Proposal – a Group 1 winner last season – off level weights.

Romantic Proposal has run well after a break before and Edward Lynam has his string in good early season form with two winners from his last six runners. I think she’ll give the favourite plenty to think about.

Geocentric is by no means out of it either as she gets plenty of weight from the top two in the market and represents another stable (Ger Lyons) in good early form.

SHADES OF BLUE

⭕ 7.25 Windsor Monday evenings are back at Windsor and there’s a fascinating Godolphin clash between Team Gosden and Appleby in the 7.25pm in what should surely prove to be a match.

I’m not convinced the early BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE market had it right here favouring the Gosden runner Aerospace who made a pleasing, if not spectacular, debut at Wolverhampton in November. He was sent off a warm favourite but could only finish fourth and shaped as though even tonight’s 1m 2f might prove on the sharp side.

Later on Monday morning the market flip-flopped in favour of Cosmic Desert who has the benefit of a recent run and and also the considerable benefit of being trained by Charlie Appleby who is running at a strike-rate of 14-27 over the last 28 days.

I thought he achieved a little more on debut than Aerospace mainly because it came on the turf at Newmarket and over tonight’s trip.

Whilst he was no match for his stable mate New London in a Godolphin 1-2-3 he should have learnt plenty and this, if anything, might be an easier chance to lose his maiden tag.

The winner New London looked good and is unbeaten in two starts and holds a Derby entry.

NOT TOO SHABBY

⭕ 7.55 Windsor Shabs makes plenty of appeal in this closing competitive handicap.

The step up to a mile should suit the Martin Smith trained runner whose Catterick run last time out looks best ignored. He seemed to hate the undulations and will be better suited by the billiard table flatness of Windsor. His earlier all-weather efforts certainly suggest he’s lurking off a decent handicap mark.

Circle Time looks the obvious danger after a solid effort at Kempton last time out over this trip but he is yet to try the turf.

Clive Cox has started the season well and there’s a chance his Midnight Train could be well handicapped but he he very hard to make a case for on the evidence of the form book to date.

DAQMAN’S BETS (staked to win 10 points)
BET 2.8pts win ROMANTIC PROPOSAL (6.15 Naas)
BET 7.7pts win (nap) COSMIC DESERT (7.25 Windsor)
BET 3.3pts win SHABS (7.55 Windsor)

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
