THE SEARCH IS ON FOR BETDAQ VALUE AT 25 MEETINGS: With warmer weather forecast, you can expect four meetings a day this week with five on Saturday, though watch out for heavy rain in the North (Catterick, Sedgefield, Wetherby). Today’s quartet of meetings includes Doncaster and Wolverhampton, where we let Daqman loose looking for BETDAQ value. His nap was 7.0 this morning, well drawn on Tapeta. Headlines:

🔹 RIGHT PLACE FOR DONNIE TO SCORE
🔹 WEAPON OF BASS DESTRUCTION..
🔹 ELEGANCE HAS THE ONE-STALL BIAS
🔹 FOREST FANCIED TO FOIL BANGKOK
🔹 IN-FORM FIRST RESPONSE PARTNERS

RIGHT PLACE FOR DONNIE TO SCORE

⭕ 2.40 Doncaster Shanty Ally has been tonked 11lb for an all-the-way win, dropped in grade to class 5 at Uttoxeter. Such is the modest class-4 field here, he might be able to handle it.

Buster Edwards and Donnie Brasco were first and third in a 3m hurdle at Haydock 13 months back. Neither has yet caught up with his hurdles rating over fences.

Donnie Brasco is the least exposed and stepping up in trip today; both try headgear, Buster in a visor and Donnie with cheekpieces.

Garrane is also visored after eight times placed in 13 outings without scoring since the Spring of 2018.

Lygon Rock is 1-14 over hurdles and had form ‘figures’ of 0UP chasing in 2019-20. Post War won over hurdles here in 2016. Monkey Puzzle’s success has all come on a sounder surface.

Big Nasty posted an excellent return at Wetherby after a break to recover from treatment for bleeding, and Whatsdastory can improve for a third on his chasing debut.

I had my pound on Donnie Brasco, 11.5 on the BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE

WEAPON OF BASS DESTRUCTION..

⭕ 3.10 Doncaster As well as Donnie Brasco, Kim Bailey and David Bass (who are 2-2 on this course) team up with Getaweapon in this mares’ handicap hurdle.

She beat nothing well when heavily backed at Hereford but her next race at Ludlow looks hot in retrospect.

She finished clear with the winner, Misty Whisky, and that one ran second in the Lanzarote on Saturday, staying on through the big field at Kempton but failing to get to the 66-1 winner. BETDAQ 4.2.

Runasimi River is down again a couple of pounds in the weights after poor runs since back-to-back wins at this time last year. Ditto Hawthorn Cottage.

Interesting to see that Nico De Boinville resumes his partnership with Grannys Secret, after breaking her maiden together in turning over a hot favourite of Jonjo O’Neill’s at Huntingdon in March.

Hawthorn Cottage won the race last year but needs first-time blinkers to boost this chance of a repeat.

ELEGANCE HAS THE ONE-STALL BIAS

⭕ 4.45 Wolverhampton Though the one stall provided the winner three years running, Dubai Elegance came out of gate 3 to take the race last season off the same mark as today.

Dubai Elegance’s draw today? Stall 1. Her stable’s form? Derek Shaw has had six of his last eight runners in the frame, two of them winners.

Thowq is a bridesmaid 320233 in five runs with William Haggas and on the last day after moving to Marco Botti. Perfect Rose is another nearly horse; she’s been placed four times but, win-wise, she is 0-11.

Eponina likes to lead but has it all to do from stall 9, next door to Perfect Rose. I took big-value 7.0 offers on BETDAQ about Dubai Elegance.

FOREST FANCIED TO FOIL BANGKOK

⭕ 6.45 Wolverhampton A £12,000-to-the-winner conditions race has attracted top trainers John Gosden and Wlliam Haggas.

On the ratings Andrew Balding has one 7-12lb clear of this small field with the Sandown Classic Trial winner of 2019, Bangkok, but Balding is out of form (0-13) and Bangkok is hard to win with.

He won only his maiden before that Classic trial and only one Listed in a disappointing sequence of 1-11 since, though they include his being outclassed in Group-1 at Royal Ascot and Sandown (Eclipse).

Sinjaari won the John Smith’s Cup at York in July and, hiked 8lb to the top of the handicap, switched to Listed level without success and now wears cheekpieces first time in a conditions race.

Forest of Dean (Gosden 2-3 in races like this at Wolver) won two decent handicaps two summers back in a 121411 sequence of success, raising his rating from 83 to 105 but ‘he’ has not been seen since a gelding op in October, 2019. Readied for this and value at 6.0 on BETDAQ

IN-FORM FIRST RESPONSE PARTNERS

⭕ 7.15 Wolverhampton Linda Stubbs wins at this time of year, as borne out in her January form figures of 114, and Hollie Doyle is still going places (four winners in four days).

They team up with First Response, in to 3.5 on BETDAQ this morning and pressing Blow Your Horn to top the market.

First Response is a dual Tapeta winner, dropping back to the right trip. Blow Your Horn is being supported on potential after a decent effort here a grade higher after being gelded.
