13-2 AND 9-4 DAQMAN WINNERS: Daqman continued his winning streak with two more strikes yesterday, one of them 13-2, plus a place return in the Oh So Sharp Stakes, spotted at 16.0 on BETDAQ.

WON 13-2 TRUESHAN
WON 9-4 THYME HILL
3RD 9-1 VALERIA MESSALINA (w/p 16.0 taken on BETDAQ)

HE GOES 79-36 UP ON PRICEWISE: Daqman needs one more today for his 80th winning bet over Pricewise of the Racing Post. He is 983 points clear to 10-point stakes. It would be nice to make it 1,000 in a race like the Cesarewitch, says Daqman.

SUPERNAP IS PUNTER’S PARADISE

2.40 York (Rockingham Stakes) Tim Easterby has won this two-year-olds Listed three times in seven seasons, and seems to have the race at his mercy once again via Lampang, describing him as ‘a very, very good horse; best we’ve had in a long time.’

His sire is multiple Group-1 sprint stallion, Dandy Man; his dam related to Canford Cliffs; his dam’s sire, Derby winner Authorized. Lampang won easing down in testing ground at Ripon.

Conditions could be crucial, as Stone Circle’s big-field romp at the Curragh was on a soundish surface, and Huraiz scored on firm. Maybe, like Rose Of Kildare for the same stable yesterday, experience will help Misty Grey into a place at least.

The city of Lampang is billed as the last paradise in Thailand. Maybe the morning 2.48 about my supernap on BETDAQ will be punter’s heaven come the ’off’, with some bookmakers tipping odds on.

3.15 York Dark Vision (5.5 offers) is down just under a stone on last year’s Group-2 form and, after his Cambridgeshire sixth in first-time visor, could bounce back.

IT’LL TAKE A TIGER TO STOP TUBO

3.30 Newmarket (Dewhurst Stakes) ‘Jaw-dropping’. ‘The new Frankel’. ‘The Dewhurst is a formality’. The wonder horse they’re talking about is, of course, Pinatubo. The price of following him, impossible.

The only interest is whether Aidan O’Brien’s army of four can get him on the defensive somehow. The enormity of the task is illustrated by Aidan’s seeming number-one Wichita, a seven-lengths winner over today’s CD, yet being officially rated a stone behind Pinatubo.

Arizona, Mystery Power and Positive have already been thrashed by the favourite on good ground. Maybe on the soft, a 186.0 shot can at least place for a fun bet at around 10-1.

Year Of The Tiger could find more, as a son of Galileo, out of a speedy soft-ground source, Tiggy Wiggy, and ridden by Padraig Beggy, who ran away with the Irish Derby on Sovereign.

DAQMAN ORDER IN: 1 Pinatubo, 2 Year of The Tiger, 3 Wichita

APLOMB ANOTHER HAGGAS PLUM

3.50 York (Coral Sprint Trophy) You need to find one each side of the draw. Low numbers on the far side usually have the edge into the closing stages, when a long raking run by a high stall on the stands’ side goes in pursuit final furlong.

Louis De Palma often leads; won at Ascot on the soft and was sixth in the Ayr Gold Cup. Gulliver was third that day but the ground is a worry.

Alaadel has improved for a change of stables and Gerald Mosse won on him in this grade in the Haydock mud in September.

Hyperfocus, third that day, is better off at the weights and can also turn around form in the Great St Wilfrid Consolation (soft), second to Growl but winner of the far-side group.

Aplomb is a tracker who travels well, the ‘moral’ when a neck runner-up at Ascot on the soft giving weight to the winner.

Hey Jonesey is often thereabouts and has dropped a few pounds but he’s won only his maiden, invariably a bad sign. Danzeno and Get Knotted are in form but age is catching up. Gunmetal is unreliable.

Cold Stare gets further and acts on the ground but David O’Meara’s strike rate remains low. The same stable’s Summerghand is often in the thick of it but the jockey is also out of form (0-21).

William Haggas’s Aplomb (gate 17) at 7.9 on BETDAQ and the 22.0 offer Tim Easterby’s Hyperfocus (out of stall 4) will do for me in a very open contest. Both yards are capable of saving something up for the big occasion.

GREATS DAY IN THE CESAREWITCH

4.10 Newmarket (Cesarewitch) Willie Mullins landed last year’s one-two with seven runners. Today, three might be enough!

He has Ascot Stakes runner-up Buildmeupbuttercup (Frankie Detttori) who, however, failed to tick the boxes in my ABC guide (this column, Thursday) whereas stablemate Great White Shark (William Buick) ticked them all!

I found the stats biased against three-year-olds but Land Of Oz, six wins out of seven for Sir Mark Prescott, and Ranch Hand for Andrew Balding have been gambles all week.

Taking a leaf out of Willie Mullins book, Sir Mark tilts two at the race, another sequence horse of his, the four-year-old Timoshenko (six on the trot), making up a lively market.

It’s never yet been a race for Prescott horses, probably because they’ve taken their ratings up too high at the end of the season after grinding out those winning sequences.

Last night Mr Everest and Great Trango were also backed for Ireland, while Themaxwecan was cut for Mark Johnston, despite no public form on soft ground. I remember nominating ‘Max’ for the Cesarewitch in my Fortune Cookies, so he has to be in my three or I’ll have egg all over my face, should he win it.

Great Trango has had only one race on the Flat this year, when behind Great White Shark at Galway, but he’s 18lb better off with that one here and has since beaten him six lengths in a marathon hurdle.

Irish November Handicap winner Mr Everest didn’t get the breaks when third in the Irish Cesarewitch but was well behind Great White Shark at Galway.

DAQMAN ORDER IN (at BETDAQ offers taken): 1 Great Trango (20.0), 2 Themaxwecan (32.0) and 3 Great White Shark (18.5), with the gamble Ranch Hand your saver.
