FOUR WINNING RACES IN A ROW FOR ANOTHER PROFITABLE SATURDAY: Saturday-king Daqman, who had been knocking at the door at York at big prices, found the key yesterday with FOUR winning races in a row out of five, applying his special bets, Supernap (won), Fortune Cookies (won) and Bull’s-eye Bets (place win). In winning order, they were:

Saturday:profit on the day 25.25
WON 1-1 REAL WORLD Fortune Cookie
WON 2-5 REACH FOR THE MOON Supernap
WON (3rd 18-1) RAVENSCRAIG CASTLE w/p bull’s-eye BETDAQ 27.0
WON 9-2 SAFFRON BEACH

SUPERNAP’S STRIKE RATE NOW 77% AS DAQMAN GOES TO DEAUVILLE: Going into today’s big race quartet of Group 1 (two) and Group 2 (two) races at Deauville, Daqman leads archrival Pricewise 51-30, with his supernaps now on 77% with a remarkable 14-18. There’s another hot Fortune Cookie this afternoon!

QUICK! FOLLOW SUZY IN THE MORNY

⭕ 2.50 Deauville (Prix Morny) In an age of fillies, three have won this premier two-year-old test in the last five seasons, including Campanelle a year ago.

That made it EIGHT wins out of nine for England and America against the home team (Andre Fabre just one for France in 2019).

Now here’s another flying filly. We put Quick Suzy into the Fortune Cookie list of horses to follow before she landed the Queen Mary (WON 8-1) at Royal Ascot. Yess!

Trainer Gavin Cromwell fears another filly more than the colts, Joseph O’Brien’s Velocidad. Here they are – one called Quick, one called speed – a long month before they were due to meet in the Cheveley Park.

Quick Suzy’s sire has a high strike rate for his progeny on soft and heavy but Velocidad has already scored on soft-heavy and his sire, Gleneagles, gets them to win on roads and in bogs.

I’m happy to follow Suzy here on what little form we have to go on: she beat a Ballydoyle filly called Yet more than 13 lengths at Royal Ascot before that one finished just two-and-a-quarter lengths down to Velocidad at the Curragh over an extra furlong.

Asymmetric swerved the Gimcrack, wisely it seems: his July Stakes conqueror, Lusail, won the York race after Asymmetric franked the form with further success at Goodwood (Khunan second, Gubbass third, Perfect Power fifth) when there was cut in the ground. His sire gets some soft-ground winners but deeper than that they do not go!

Drawn wide today, Armor, fifth in the Windsor Castle, had his Molecomb success diminished by runner-up Fearby, who was only fourth in that Gimcrack, though there were excuses.

The French defenders may also need to rely on a filly: Have A Good Day won at Deauville at the beginning of the month, with Trident third. Quick Suzy is my choice from the plum one stall.

THE LADY MIGHT BOW TO EBAIYRA

⭕ 3.25 Deauville (Prix Jean Romanet) Everybody’s favourite, because so courageous in defeat by Palace Pier, Lady Bowthorpe remains in fillies and mares company after beating her own sex in the Nassau.

That was on good to soft at Goodwood (last year’s Jean Romanet winner, Audarya, fifth) but there’s no telling how deep Deauville will get.

She probably only has a pound or two to play with over Ebaiyra, Group-2 winner on heavy in May; the French filly went down only a length to Broome over further in the Group-1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud (soft; Ambition sixth) and is a year younger.

Thundering Nights is improving and likes it soft, though her defeat of Santa Barbara in the Group-1 Pretty Polly on firm at the Curragh in June (Cayenne Pepper third, Insinuendo fourth) was her best form to date.

VALIA CAN KEEP POMONE AT HOME

⭕ 4.00 Deauville (Prix De Pomone) Ebaiyra won this last year, and the prize has left France just once in the decade.

Raabihah, second in the 2020 Vermeille and fifth in the Arc, and Valia – Royal Oak second to Subjectivist in October – should keep the prize in France, with Valia the most likely to, against the bridesmaid Raabihah (form 20-222).

Three-year-olds are going for a Pomone hat-trick so we have to respect Joie De Soir, unexposed for Andre Fabre.
Raiders from England (Katara, Mystery Angel) and Ireland (Silence Please) are all three Listed level and would have to make distinct improvement to win a Group 2.

⭕ 4.35 Deauville (Prix Kergorlay) Victory for Valia in the Pomone would boost Skazino. They are archrivals, finishing one-two in May, reversing the placings in July.

In the May race, Red Verdon, a top-of-the-ground eight-year-old, finished remote in the very soft going.

Last year’s French Gold Cup runner-up, Alkuin, has also been beaten a distance by Skazino this season.

And a year ago, Brokeback Mountain, third to Rip Van Lips at the Hoppegarten, was seven lengths off Skazino at Compiegne.

BACK BEE WITH EASTERBY BUZZING

⭕ 3.20 Brighton George Boughey, who has a runner at Deauville today, is leading trainer at Brighton on strike rate with 56% and Cieren Fallon leading jockey by the same token (30%).

They team up together with George’s only home runner, Media Blitz, getting weight all round and visored first time.

⭕ 4.20 Sandown From the sublime to the ridiculous: we moan about shortage of runners, to the detriment of place betting, but along comes this Sunday series with over 100 today.

Andaleep has form figures of 21114 over this 1m 2f, going particularly well for an apprentice. He stayed on when the race was over on the course the last day, the pace being too slow to engage his gears.

⭕ 4.50 Sandown This nursery looks manageable, and Tim Easterby, who had a tremendous York, celebrates with a day out in Surrey.

In his first handicap is the gelded Jungle Bee, whose dam is a half-sister to Winter Power, winner of the Nunthorpe for Tim on Friday.

I bagged 13.0 Jungle Bee in the BETDAQ Sportsbook at 9am. Andaleep was 13.0 in the Sportsbook earlier, but 9.5 by then. You clearly can’t afford a Sunday lie-in!

BETDAQ value 6.6 Media Blitz (Brighton), 9.5 Andaleep, 13.0 Jungle Bee (Sandown)

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
