SUCH A PERFECT DAY

Best racing in Ireland on Sunday and there are plenty of hotpots on the Naas card including Sergei Prokofiev in the Coolmore War Command Rochestown Stakes.

Aidan O’Brien’s runner was narrowly beaten at odds-on on his debut at Dundalk but left that form well behind when bolting home at Navan last time out where he stayed on strongly to win by seven and a half lengths.

This is obviously harder but he should justify short priced favouritism and see off his four rivals in a race where all five were last time out winners.

Biggest danger may come from the Jessica Harrington trained Dandys Ocean who made a lovely winning debut at the Curragh – the form of the Harrington stable remains very positive.

3.45 Naas Should be another for Aidan and Ryan Moore – this time it’s a Listed race for the fillies over six furlongs and their runner, So Perfect, should come on a lot for her narrow winning debut at Navan. She was doing her best work in the closing stages and should relish the step up in trip.

At around 1.76 on BETDAQ she (just) ticks my SUPERNAP criteria.

Again, it might be Jessica Harrington who provides the biggest threat, this time with Chicas Amigas who made a winning debut (over today’s six furlongs) on the all-weather at Dundalk.

4.00 Ripon Front runners do well here over all distances and it would come as no surprise to see Rebel Assault ping out and try and make all.

That’s what he did when winning a Listed race (at 25/1) at York last season and whilst his two runs on the all-weather have been more moderate he could just simply be a better horse on the turf.

His trainer Mark Johnston is running at a very healthy strike-rate of 12 winners from his last 47 runners.

4.50 Market Rasen The market principals all have lengthy absences to overcome and it might pay to side with the recent fitness advantage of Cusheen Bridge who ran his best race for a while when chasing home Steps And Stairs at Southwell last time out over a similar trip.

Off the same handicap mark and at a course on which he has excelled on in the past, the current 7.2 on BETDAQ looks too tempting.

DAQMAN’S BETS (staked to win 20 points except SUPERNAP)
SUPERNAP BET 20pts win SO PERFECT (3.45 Naas)
BET 4.4pts win REBEL ASSAULT (4.00 Ripon)
BET 3.2pts win CUSHEEN BRIDGE (4.50 Market Rasen)
