A DAY TO KOOL DOWN

⭕ 2.38 Salisbury Even if you are engrossed in the closing stages of the first half of England v Croatia it might be worth channel hopping for this sprint handicap at Salisbury. It’ll only take a minute and you won’t miss a goal – promise!

It’s a closely knit handicap but the switch to a fast surfaces swings it for me to Richard Hannon’s Kool Moe Dee.

The youngster of the field was a winner on good to firm ground at Bath last year and also ran one of his better races when fifth in the valuable Weatherbys Super Sprint Stakes at Newbury on good ground.

I’m happy to draw a line through his latest effort at Haydock – an eight length fourth on heavy ground. The combination of the six furlongs and testing ground seemed to go against him in the closing stages, although he did travel really well in that race.

Rose Hip looks the very obvious danger after coming back to form in a better race at Windsor last time out. She’s up 4lb which doesn’t look overly harsh but I’d more concerned as to whether she can be equally as effective over the shorter trip.

TIME FOR A TIPPLE?

⭕ 3.38 Salisbury (Cathedral Stakes) Richard Hannon has a fine chance of a double on the card in the Listed event.

Mums Tipple has come back to form this season – the looked a world beater in her first two starts back in 2019 – notably when winning the second of them at York by 11 lengths.

It’s been far tougher since but her latest efforts are solid enough and she comes right into this on the back of a silver placed effort in a similar event at Leicester last time out.

The danger has to be BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE favourite Khaadem from the in form stable of Charlie Hills. He hasn’t shown much this year in two starts but valid excuses / class dropping still make him one to be fearful of.

THAT’S THE SPIRIT

⭕ 4.08 Salisbury Kindred Spirit looked mightily unlucky at Windsor last time out in a class 3 handicap. So much so, we might well be looking at a winner, without a penalty, now dropped two rungs down the class ladder!

It’s not that straight forward though (it never is). She’s yet to try out the faster surface so we have to take than on trust from Roger Varian who isn’t making many mistakes at the moment with a strike-rate of 7 winners from his last 32 runners.

DAQMAN’S BETS (staked to win 10 points)
BET 3.9pts win (nap) KOOL MOE DEE (2.38 Salisbury)
BET 3.1pts win MUMS TIPPLE (3.38 Salisbury)
BET 2.8pts win KINDRED SPIRIT (4.08 Salisbury)

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
