91 POINTS FROM FOUR WINNING DAYS IN A ROW: After Mica Mika (4th 20-1 from 29.0 on BETDAQ) reached the frame in a blanket finish at Carlisle, Daqman had to wait for Sennockian Star (WON 7-2 from 12.5 on BETDAQ) at Kempton last night to put him a few points ahead on the day and take him to 91 in four consecutive winning days.

7-2 WINNER FROM 12.5 BETDAQ VALUE: Both bets were further examples of the sensational offers on BETDAQ: Mica Mika was 29.0 when Daqman made the selection and Sennockian Star came in to 7-2 from 12.5 in his BETDAQ-sponsored race at Kempton.

IRISH DERBY ABC: ‘Ruler’ rules in the Daqman ABC guide to Saturday’s Irish Derby, which checks out the stats against each horse as follows:

A Won or placed English or French Derby or won English Derby Trial (6 out of 8)
B Rated 114-126 (7 out of 8)
C Won at least three races (11 out of 12)
D Trained Aidan O’Brien (7 out of 7)

ABCD Ruler Of The World His Chester vase romp didn’t impress everyone: slow time; only four runners; second home couldn’t even win a Listed.

But improved dramatically – official 11lb step forward – when, wearing cheekpieces, he took the Derby with a strong surge.

Only made his racecourse debut on April 7 and will be very hard to beat on Saturday, seemingly sure to improve again.

AB Libertarian Overlooked in the markets – and huge value on BETDAQ – for Epsom, largely due to prejudice against Northern-trained horses for the Derby.

This, despite his power finish to win the Dante at York, recognized as the supreme Derby trial in recent years.

Officially improved 18lb inside the fortnight between York and Epsom, coming with long run on the outside, too late to trouble Ruler Of The World but convincing many that the more conventional gallopers track at The Curragh would be in his favour.

AB Galileo Rock The markets seem to have forgotten that Galileo Rock was only a short-head behind Libertarian at Epsom: one bookie has him double the price of the Epsom runner-up.

Galileo Rock is closely related to the stout stayer Saddlers Rock so, though the colt was better placed than the first two at Epsom, he was never likely to show his true worth in a slow-run race and should also enjoy The Curragh.

AC Sugar Boy But, if you put Galileo Rock into Saturday’s equation, then you must include another Galileo, the Sandown Classic Trial winner, Sugar Boy, particularly should The Curragh surface ride easy.

A three-time winner on the soft, Sugar Boy had Galileo Rock almost a length behind in third at Sandown, the very slow time of the race again suggesting that it didn’t play to Rocky’s strengths.

Eight lengths behind that day was Libertarian, still as green as a vicarage lawn, carried wide as he showed his inexperience, and clearly needing another Derby test, which he would get in the Dante.

BCD Battle Of Marengo Sugar Boy had previously been beaten in the Ballysax Stakes at Leopardstown by Battle Of Marengo, a disappointment at Epsom, despite also having won the Leopardstown Derby Trial.

Was he flattered by his two trial wins, and been overtaken since? Another Galileo, but bred for speed on the dam’s side, he didn’t seem to get the trip at Epsom and was beaten at odds on in the King Edward V11 Derby consolation at Royal Ascot by a horse previously runner-up in two handicaps.

BC Trading Leather Beaten little more than a length by Libertarian in the Dante, but four lengths by Magician in the Irish 2,000 Guineas, dropped back in trip.

It was this that prompted Magician to be fancied against Dawn Approach at Royal Ascot but he finished last. Yet the Irish Guineas runner-up (a length and a half in front of Trading Leather), Gale Force Ten, went on to win the Jersey Stakes.

Trading Leather, himself, dropped down to Listed level and stormed away with the Silver Stakes at The Curragh less than three weeks ago, suggesting that fast ground is the key to his chances on Saturday.

CD Count Of Limonade Three-and-a-half lengths behind Leading Light at The Curragh before that one won the Queens Vase, both races only Group 3

D Festive Cheer Presumably a pacemaker for the Ballydoyle squad on Saturday but never really seen when 10th of 12 behind Ruker Of The World at Epsom.

Cap O’Rushes, Little White Cloud, Ralston Road of no account in this race.
