MOVING ON UP AGAIN

⭕ 1.30 Brighton The race started with seven runners, now has four and it looks even tougher! My original selection Real Estate is a non runner.

Boom The Groom is by far the best of the quartet – the official ratings tell you that but 10-2 is a welter weight to carry around and at the age of 11 he still might be struggling for his first win since 2020. His course record stats read: 222352

Preference is for the Gay Kelleway trained Moveonup who gained a first turf win last time out here over a slightly shorter trip. He was doing his best work near the end under today’s pilot Saffie Osborne and the partnership can strike again.

Kelleway has her string in decent form with three winners from the last 12 runners.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST

⭕ 2.15 Beverley Another four runner event – apologies but it’s one of those days where runners are in short supply.

Absolute Queen made a really pleasing debut at Nottingham last week and should be able to get off the mark here. The George Boughey trained filly found Miska too good but she already had the benefit of a previous run.

Miska is also entered up for a Listed race at Newmarket at the weekend and the chances are that the form is quite useful.

She is preferred to the Charlie and Mark Johnston trained Metal Merchant who stayed on to good effect on her debut at Chelmsford but might already need a longer trip to show her best form.

Emily’s Eclipse was third, but beaten over seven lengths on debut at Lingfield, whilst debutant Countess Kess looks in at the deep end.

TOUCHING WOOD FOR TOUCHWOOD

⭕ 8.10 Newbury Touchwood is knocking on the door for another win and might be getting into this as a winner without a penalty – well a moral one anyone.

He had no luck at Brighton last time out when second and the form can easily be upgraded.

He is preferred to Betdaq Betting Exchange market rival Alablaq for whom I’m not convinced the step up in trip is a positive.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
