DAZZLING DAQMAN HITS FIVE WINNING NAPS OUT OF SIX: Daqman made it five winning naps out of six yesterday, resuming a dazzling run with two successful tips out of three, taking his overall profit in the six days to 127.25 points. Yesterday’s nap was a BETDAQ 2.3 offer when he made his selection but non-runners isolated Dazzling Darren as an odds-on shot.

AUCHTERADER HAS THE DRAW EDGE

4.00 Lingfield This Ladbrokes-sponsored class 3 sticks out like a sore thumb on another low-level card which makes life difficult for backer and layer alike. At the same time, it’s one of the many where punters are left choosing from an apparent match. Auchterader appears to have the style from the right stall to win this one.

Joseph O’Brien has dropped right out of form with 22 consecutive losers (and 2-35 in the fortnight), including times when seemingly he might have won.

The best backed of those 22 have missed strike, with form figures of 323030302 for all those at 4-1 or shorter at SP (three favourites).

The O’Brien runner in this is Dark Vader, who will be ridden by champion jockey Oisin Murphy, back from a trip to Dohar, where he rode a winner on Saturday. But both Dark Vader and Auchterader are known for dominating a race.

Auchterader has the best of the draw: he has made all twice and won; not made all twice and lost! Dark Vader made every yard at Dundalk on the last day.

DYLAN IS KNOCKING AT THE DOOR

4.15 Catterick What a card: a two-horse race; one for lady amateurs and two novices! I’ve skipped to the two handicaps!

In this one, you’re asked to suppose that a 14-year-old, Loose Chips, can win back to back, or a hat-trick winner can make it four, 21lb higher than when his sequence started.

That one, Ask Paddy, is 1211 at Catterick. While he’s won plenty on the soft, his form on heavy is P4, though that’s before cheekpieces won him the three in a row.

Late Date was 32 lengths behind Ask Paddy on the last day; Above Board hasn’t won since the Spring of 2018 and Fionn Mac Cul hasn’t completed a race for four years! Agamemnon and Againn Dul Aghaidh prefer a sound surface.

I fancy Absolutely Dylan, who has won on heavy at Haydock and, but for an unlucky fall the last day, would be strongly fancied on his reappearance run. Should be knocking at the door, back off his winning mark. Strong support in to BETDAQ 4.7.

JOCKEY TIP FOR A BET ON LINE..

I shall oppose the favourite, The Composeur, on the grounds that his winning form is on a sounder surface. He was 000 on soft and heavy but won on good to soft at Huntingdon.

Mamoo and Too Many Chiefs are CD winners here at Catterick. Chiefs’ is 18lb lower than for his CD win, and looked set for a place at least until close home on the last day. Sweet Vinetta’s winning form is over shorter trips.

There was money for Eclair On Line in the grey’s first handicap, and Aidan Coleman travels to Catterick for the one ride. I’ll take the tip and have a bit of win and place (seen when 8.5 in the BETDAQ orange).
