7/1 WINNER: DAQMAN landed a 7/1 winner on Monday with BLUSHING RED in the final race at Kempton. He said: “Blushing Red and Rocket Ronnie are closely matched on Ludlow form when 1/2 length split them. They actually meet again on the same terms today but given Blushing Red made a shocking error at the second last at Ludlow he may well get the chance to not only confirm, but extend his superiority over the runner-up.”

FOLLOW THE WINNERS IN THE DAQMAN PLAN: The final accounts for the Flat-season Fortune Cookies, charged at 20 points per bet, show a profit of 1,151 points at SP on the two amended versions (see below). Tomorrow, Daqman opens the Jumps lists: he starts by listing horses to follow, which will become the first ‘cookies’ of the 2018-19 season, with a revision after Christmas and a final set worthy of the name Fortune Cookies in time for the festival season.

FORTUNE COOKIES 1,151 PROFIT

What a team! Daqman’s elite horses to follow, called Fortune Cookies, finished the 2018 Flat season with a profit of 1,151 points to 20-point win stakes.

The last 11 runners produced seven winners in a season in which the Cookies cornered the best in the business from an early stage.

We have already published the results before British Champions Day, the Arc and the Breeders Cup. Here’s what happened then:

CRACKSMAN (WON 5-6): Back to his brilliant best on soft ground at Ascot for the British Champions Middle Distance. Bolted up under whip waving from a jubilant Frankie Dettori. Great training feat by John Gosden’s yard.

ENABLE (WON 1-1, WON 8-13): A bit stretched when she won the Arc but scintillating before the Breeders Cup crowd, though too short a price in that foreign situation, and with John Gosden finding the prelims unbearable. Daqman was on her from the very beginning of a career which sets her apart from ordinary animals.

EXPERT EYE (WON 9-2) Feature of the season has been the supreme skills of Sir Michael Stoute with the ammunition at his disposal, improving them again and again. Goodbye to the Eye after his Breeders Cup Mile success. He’s got breeding of his own to do now.

LAURENS (WON 11-4) Sun Chariot winner but gave some of the money back in the British Champions Mile. Brave as a tiger but no match for the lion.

ROARING LION (WON 2-1) Fabulous British Champions winner but unable to cope with the synthetic surface at Churchill Downs for the Breeders Cup Mile.

STRADIVARIUS (WON 1-1) Frankie Dettori (best jockey I’ve used, says John Gosden in his great £10m year) so outmanoeuvred Ryan Moore in the British Champions Long Distance that he won a fifth consecutive Cup of the season.

LOOK OUT TOMORROW: Now it’s time to aim at the Aintree, Cheltenham and Punchestown festivals, with Christmas at Kempton and Leopardstown first on the agenda of big Jumps races. Can we find a roaring lion? We did last year, in the guise of a Tiger Roll.

BRANDY LOOKS CHELMSFORD TIPPLE

2.50 Lingfield This will be a slog in the Lingfield mud and it looks a little more open given the defection of Admiral’s Secret. Colin Tizzard is in great form and did me a big favour with Queen Of The Wind at 5/1 on Sunday and I’m staying loyal with his Lillington.

The gelding seems versatile ground wise and comes here in good form having won at Newton Abbot and Stratford and then finished fourth in a much hotter contest at Cheltenham last time out won by Modus. I wasn’t so sure he enjoyed the Cheltenham experience much and is worth another chance in this company on a different track.

Main danger is likely to come from Space Oddity who has the class but has a tough task under his 12 stone burden on the ground and has just lacked some sparkle in his last few outings.

3.50 Lingfield Finnegan’s Garden is a proven lover of the mud and can make a winning reappearance.

Noel Fehily is a good booking for the nine-year-old chaser who goes particularly well here at Lingfield and likes to bowl along in front.

4.15 Chelmsford Brandy Spirit was an eye catcher on debut at Newcastle when staying on into third at 33/1, despite rearing on leaving the stalls and meeting trouble in the run.

Not much went right for the Mick Easterby trained runner but with the benefit of experience can now record a first win and again hold off the challenge of Fares Kodiac who was fourth at Newcastle.

BET 5.5pts win FINNEGAN’S GARDEN (3.50 Lingfield)
