THE QUEEN IS RETIRED: BUT LONG LIVE THE GOLDEN ENABLES: Daqman insisted after the Arc de Triomphe: It Must be Farewell To The Legend. And the news this morning is that Enable is retired. As Daqman said, a legend was created and public admiration should be preserved by doing the right thing by her. ‘I hope there will be as many golden Enables as there have been a star sprinkling of Frankels!”

COUNTDOWN: FIVE NEW CHAMPIONS CROWNED ON SATURDAY: Daqman today begins his countdown to Saturday’s British Champions Day, with a stats check on the five title races, BETDAQ betting, key form and update on his Fortune Cookies horses to follow.

KEYS TO FIVE CHAMPIONS OF 2020

⚠️ HEADS UP Here are Daqman stats for all six races, including the handicap, on British Champions Day on Saturday which serve as an update to his Fortune Cookies horses to follow. Watch this space every day this week.

⭕ 1.20 Ascot, Saturday (Long-Distance Cup) It’s John Gosden 2, Aidan O’Brien 2 in the last five years, with Order Of St George (2017) and Stradivarius (2018) the giants among them.

KEY FORM Search For A Song has twice won the Irish St Leger. Stradivarius has been beaten twice in three attempts at the Long-Distance Cup.
BETDAQ SPORTSBOOK 1.72 Stradivarius, 6.0 Search For A Song

⭕ 1.55 Ascot, Saturday (Champion Sprint) After a sequence of short-priced winners, the last four years have gone to 13-2, 10-1, 28-1 and 33-1 shots, featuring the usual suspects: Balding, Fahey, Fanshawe (The Tin Man).

FORTUNE COOKIES Art Power, Dream of Dreams.
KEY FORM Dream of Dreams likes Ascot: twice second in the Diamond Jubilee.
BETDAQ SPORTSBOOK 2.62 Dream of Dreams, 10.0 Art Power

⭕ 2.30 Ascot, Saturday (Champion Fillies And Mares) 3-y-o six, 4yo three. Gosden (2), O’Brien (2) have shared the last four, with Magical (2018) among them.

FORTUNE COOKIES:Tarnawa (doubtful runner)
KEY FORM Magical has won seven Group-1 races
BETDAQ SPORTSBOOK 3.5 Magical (value here if you knew, or guessed right, that she would swerve the Champion Stakes)

⭕ 3.05 Ascot, Saturday (QE11 Champion Mile) Three aces among the last nine winners: Frankel (2011), Minding (2016) and Roaring Lion (2018), with Gosden (2), O’Brien (2) and Freddy Head (2) top trainers since 2012. Ages: 3yo seven, 4yo two in the decade.

FORTUNE COOKIES Kameko
KEY FORM Palace Pier beat Pinatubo and Wichita at Royal Ascot. The Revenant was second in this last year
BETDAQ SPORTSBOOK 1.8 Palace Pier, 6.0 Kameko, 7.0 The Revenant

⭕ 3.40 Ascot, Saturday (Champion Stakes) Frankel again among past winners. More recently Gosden (2) with Cracksman, and Magical for O’Brien last year. Age: 5yo four, 4yo four, 3yo two.

FORTUNE COOKIES Addeybb, Persian King (doubtful)
KEY FORM Mishriff has won twice on soft-heavy, including the French Derby, but is a good-actioned horse. Magical may run in the Fillies And Mares.
BETDAQ SPORTSBOOK 3.5 Mishriff, 3.75 Magical, 9 Addeybb

⭕ 4.15 Ascot, Saturday (Balmoral Handicap) David O’Meara (2); 5yo four, 4yo two.

FORTUNE COOKIES Power Of Darkness, Raaeq.
KEY FORM Escobar beat Lord North in this last year
MARKETS (general) 5 Raaeq, 20 Escobar, 25 Power Of Darkness

⚠️ HEADS UP: Rest Of The Fortune Cookies (Flat): Alkumait, Battleground, Campanelle, High Definition, Lampang, Lucky Vega, Tasmania, Thunder Moon, Wembley.

NH: Aramon, McFabulous, Thyme White

OSCARS GOES TO A HIDDEN STAR

⭕ 1.15 Hereford Paul Nicholls’ Oscars Moonshine was favourite but has similar form in the four races since his debut, form that adds up to a total defeat of 149 lengths in novice hurdles!

If the surface stays sound, Hidden Depths could be the one. Scored twice on the Flat in the summer and gave more than a stone to both first and second when beaten less than three lengths at Southwell in August.

BETDAQ exchange offers of 5.2 is big value if only you could trust them to run to, or improve on, their apparent form level.

CROSS AGAINST THE FAVOURITE

⭕ 2.23 Hereford Colin Tizzard has had just eight winners this year and I wouldn’t like to bet that Storm Home will live up to his name after 14 straight defeats since winning 30 months ago.

It’s 43 months since Dadsintrouble last got his punters out of trouble and, though he is down the handicap and back to a bit of form the last day, he is 10 years old now.

Premier D’troice has won at Fakenham this year but is 12lb higher. That means giving a stone to Shah An Shah, who won at Doncaster in February on his only appearance beyond 3m.

Faded three weeks ago on his first start since then but should be fitter now and fancied as one of two young improvers in the race.

The other one is Neville’s Cross (BETDAQ 2.46), who gave weight to the runner-up at Uttoxeter when the pair came away from their field, yet the third horse 12 lengths behind them, followed up with a win at Newton Abbot in the same month.

ASCENSION FOR THE HAT-TRICK

⭕ 5.00 Leicester A 7f handicap which usually goes to a three-year-old but which has Magical Wish and Cold Stare as strong representatives of the older generation.

In fact, the pair were one-two when Cold Stare won at Goodwood on the soft late in August, separated by a head.

There’s a pound difference in the weights today which should see them even closer together this time around.

Endowed has struggled with the higher rating since scoring at Kempton 14 months back.

But Ascension (2.69 on BETDAQ) is a three-year-old from the same yard that won this in 2017 under the same rider. Two from two for Andrea Atzeni, improved for step up in trip and goes for a hat-trick.

⭕ 6.30 Wolverhampton Beau Geste and Hollie Doyle are 111 at Wolverhampton and return there tonight with a favourite’s chance: 2.99 on BETDAQ.
