DAQMAN RUNS HIS RULE OVER THE AINTREE WINNERS: What makes a Grand National winner? What magic form ingredients set them apart? Daqman investigates. The plan is that you’ll not only see how they won, but will follow this year’s contestants down the same paths, when Daqman gives you his National verdict on Saturday. That from the man who brought you 33-1 winner Rule The World two years ago.

THREE BETS ON WEDNESDAY: DAQMAN has highlighted three bets on Wednesday – two at Market Rasen and an evening NAP at Kempton.

SOD’S LAW I’VE GONE FOR THE RIGHT NAP

3.05 Market Rasen A competitive handicap hurdle at the Lincolnshire venue and my first instinct was that Zen Master looks to have been dealt a savage blow by the handicapper who has raised him 6lb for finishing a neck second in a Taunton handicap hurdle last month. His only career win has come on good ground and he looks opposable here on a more test surface.

Chandos Belle also looks one to take on after a 9lb rise in the weights for a first career win at Huntingdon in a race that looked less competitive than this one.

With the handicapper being so ruthless, it might pay to look elsewhere and the chances of Potters Hedger who is down in the weights and has cheekpieces on for the first time. He ran well here at Market Rasen in a bumper and looks the value option in the race.

Krugermac has chances on some of his old form but didn’t show much at Fontwell recently after a lengthy reappearance.

5.10 Market Rasen I thought Akarita Lights showed enough on debut at Newcastle to suggest he looks over-priced here at around 9.2 on BETDAQ.

Whilst he was no match for Bournville, who is now unbeaten in two starts, he kept on well enough to finish a three length second and can only improve for the effort. The Quinn stable is only 2/34 on the flat and 13/101 jumps but the shorter priced runners have been running well enough recently and the stats can often mislead at face value.

Debutant Dorking Boy makes the market with the booking of Richard Johnson obviously catching the eye but at around 3.0 on the BETDAQ PLACE market Akarita Lights looks the better proposition with three chances of a return.

6.15 Kempton Sod’s Law has been well backed this morning ahead of this interesting auction event over seven furlongs. The Hughie Morrison trained runner was only beaten a short head on his debut at the track over six furlongs last season and now looks certain to be suited by the step-up in trip and the stable are in reasonable form.

The Richard Hannon trained Magnificent may need further to bring about a first win.

John Gosden’s Fennaan ran better on turf than his first start on the all-weather here at Kempton and Pak Choi brings recent form to the table after a course and distance win in handicap company last time out.
