NINE WINS AND DAQMAN NAPS PROFIT LEAPS AWAY TO 112 POINTS: When it comes to the Jumps you can make the big leap with Daqman. That’s the early warning of yesterday’s nap, Leapaway (WON 15-8), 12 lengths winner at Hexham. It gave Daqman nine winning naps in the 15 days of September for a profit of 112 points.

FORTUNE COOKIES BOOSTED TO A TEAM OF 20: Daqman’s 20-strong team of Fortune Cookies has new recruits from his weekend blogs about the importance of big races of the Irish champions meetings and the St Leger festival in England. He could have runners at Ayr and Newbury.

A MAJESTIC RIDE, PLEASE HOLLIE

⭕ 3.10 Yarmouth John Gosden interrupted a hat-trick sequence for Majestic Noor by trying to get her some black type in France while Frankie Dettori was over there.

But the 1m 4f of the Longchamp Listed was just too far and she is back to 10 furlongs in a similar sort of race this afternoon.

Gosden rarely looks to Hollie Doyle for a ‘job’ but she’s won for him on two of the three occasions she’s been booked.

Majestic Noor’s form was boosted by her Newbury runner-up, Sorrel (two runs, two wins since), and the second in her earlier York success has also scored twice, with wins, too, for the third and fifth.

Domino Darling, a daughter of Golden Horn, had quality fillies spotted behind her last season but she was beaten favourite on her sole outing of 2020 last month.

David Egan was in cracking form with three strikes at the Doncaster St Leger meeting and his mount, Waliyak, has improved 12lb since June.

Festive Star has done best at a mile and A La Voile has to make quite a big leap from her hat-trick in lower grades.

Majestic Noor seems to have improved past stablemate Tiempo Vuela, whose presence made Majestic easier to back this morning: 8.6 in the BETDAQ exchange list and 8.5 in the Sportsbook.

LET’S FOLLOW THE PETRUCCI PUNT

⭕ 3.40 Kelso There was a rush to back Petrucci last night. No point being on a plunge horse when the price has gone but the gelding, 11.0 on BETDAQ this morning, eased to 13.5. The money was down.

Trainer David Jeffreys has a terrific strike rate (6-10 so 60%) when he fills the horsebox with petrol at Stow-On-The-Wold and goes raiding.

And Petrucci has dropped 10lb since his revised rating for success at Stratford on similar ground last summer.

GO ‘MOTA’ THROUGH THE MUDDLE

⭕ 3.55 Sandown A poor card at Sandown is lit up by this Listed in which the grey CD scorer Montatham meets York Group-3 runner-up Epic Hero.

Montatham’s sole defeat this year in four starts, from which he’s climbed 20lb, was his second in the Royal Hunt Cup.

Epic Hero has never won in England but on AW at Chantilly and turf in Meydan, as a protege of Andre Fabre, and his step up to the Pattern came on his debut for the Crisford’s in August.

He always does well after a break so I’m not sure what to expect on his second start.

Zaaki, who drops out of the Pattern and back to a mile, can run freely; so, too, Montatham, but neither will want to, so there could be a muddling pace.

That might suit Motakhayyel who strictly has the measure of Montatham on a line through Sir Busker. The 13.5 BETDAQ offers this morning were big.

IT’S NOT THE BRIDESMAID’S FAULT

⭕ 6.40 Kelso Fresh New Dawn frightens my mouse away from the BETDAQ orange, going for a hat-trick in this 2m 5f chase today. A hat-trick of Unseated Rider (his form ‘figures’ are 0UU).

Today he will line up with a mark of 110 for the eighth time since February, 2018, and has won just once, a hurdle race at Huntingdon.

Alexander The Grey (1-17) and Spinning Scooter (1-16) are what they euphemistically call ‘hard to win with’.

Takaramore has had 296 days off and is expected to need the run, while Fr Humphrey, now 12, is with a trainer and jockey both currently out of form.

So I’m going for the bridesmaid! Ain’t My Fault set up a sequence of 222232, including twice second here at Kelso, interrupted the last day by PU. Not his fault; he was found to be lame. I took 4.9 on BETDAQ.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro.. Or just 10p to win!

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
