EURO 2020 QUALIFIERS: We preview Monday’s Euro 2020 Qualifiers between REPUBLIC OF IRELAND v GIBRALTAR and SPAIN v SWEDEN both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

7.45pm Ireland produced a brilliant result away from home against Denmark on Friday night, and now they face the easy task of facing Gibraltar on Monday. It would be fair to say that Ireland sometimes struggle with these type of games; they have a lot of the ball and don’t really create much as the minnow sticks X! men behind the ball. Their style of play is better suited to played on the counter away from home. It’s hard to see how Gibraltar can stop Ireland for 90 minutes; although they came close when they had home advantage.

Ireland are massively odds on favourites with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Republic Of Ireland 1.02, Gibraltar 110.0 and the draw is 42.0. The market has basically given the game to Ireland already with those odds! It’s hard to see a situation where Ireland don’t win, however having seen the teams play recently we feel that Gibraltar can keep the scoreline respectable. Under 4.5 goals is trading 1.8 and that looks absolutely massive. It’s hard to see Gibraltar scoring and this Ireland team just isn’t full of goal scoring options so we can see Ireland labouring to a win rather than scoring often and easily. We like the unders.

Under 4.5 goals at 1.8.

7.45pm This is a big game in Group F with the top two sides facing each other. Spain sit top after winning three from three, while Sweden are two points behind on seven. A draw would be a brilliant result for Sweden here, and they will go into this game believing that they can stop this Spainish side. Spain didn’t have a good World Cup at all, and they haven’t answered the questions asked of them after with a poor Nations League too. They seem to be a side on the decline, but it’s highly unlikely we’ll see them exposed in this qualifying Group.

The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Spain 1.31, Sweden 13.0 and the draw is 5.8. Spain were beaten recently here by England when they conceded three times, and then went away to concede three and lose again to Croatia. They should be a lot more comfortable in front of their own fans, however the 1.31 still looks very short. Sweden scored three goals away to Norway; however they did conceded three too! We can see Sweden giving Spain plenty of problems here, and from a value point of view we’re happy to lay the 1.31.

Lay Spain at 1.31.
