FA CUP SATURDAY: We preview Saturday’s Fifth Round games including HUDDERSFIELD v MAN U at 5.30pm all with recommended BETDAQ bets.

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY V SWANSEA

12.30pm Swansea continued their brilliant run of form at the weekend and now they’re nine games unbeaten. Not many punters would have seen this run coming, especially looking at the way they were playing prior! They are on a roll under Carlos Carvalhal and they will be very hopeful of getting past Sheffield Wednesday here. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Sheffield Wednesday 3.5, Swansea 2.34 and the draw is 3.4. Looking at the stats, Wednesday are really struggling to score goals at the moment, only netting in five of their last 11 games – they’ve also really struggled when meeting the top sides. With Swansea in good form and full of confidence, now it is the time to back them and we expect to get through here – they look good value at 2.34.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Swansea to beat Sheffield Wednesday at 2.34.

BRIGHTON V COVENTRY

3pm Brighton are unbeaten in their last four coming into this clash, while Coventry arrive off the back of three straight defeats in League Two. Away from home, Coventry have lost four of their last six, so we don’t see a shock coming here. Brighton seem to be a good form at the moment, and they are obviously meeting Coventry at a good time. The markets expect a relatively easy home win too though, with Brighton as short as 1.37 at the time of writing. Brighton haven’t scored a huge amount of goals this season though, however we expect them to get the job done here – under 2.5 goals is trading 1.95 and that looks too big in what could be a ‘grinding’ home win.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 1.95.

WEST BROM V SOUTHAMPTON

3pm It’ll be very interesting to see what type of sides the managers opt to put out here. With both in a fight to stay up, what’s more important – the FA Cup or staying in the Premier League? The fans will say a Cup run, the money says Premier League. They did meet very recently in the league, with Southampton winning here 3-2 in a very entertaining affair – that could have gone either way and it’s not a surprise to see the match odds market so open. West Brom are currently 2.94, with Southampton 2.76 and the draw is 4.6. West Brom are really struggling this season, they produced one of a shocks of the last round to beat Liverpool 3-2 however since then they’ve conceded nine goals in three games. Southampton have sometimes struggled for goals this season, but with West Brom poor at the back, they might not have that problem here – and it’s because of that we are happy to lay West Brom at 2.94.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay West Brom at 2.94.

HUDDERSFIELD V MANCHESTER UNITED

5.30pm This will more than likely be a routine win for Manchester United, however they are under pressure after losing 1-0 away from home to Newcastle at the weekend. For all the money they have spent, they still have questions to answer away from home! Huddersfield have scored eight goals in their last two games coming into this one, and will surely be full of confidence to ‘give it a go’ as they say! The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Huddersfield 8.0, Manchester United 1.51 and the draw is 4.6. United comfortably beat Huddersfield very recently in the Premier League, winning 2-0 at Old Trafford – however earlier in the season Huddersfield shocked United to win here. It was the first real bump in United’s season – United will be looking to correct that here obviously, however they look too short at 1.51. They may well get a win here, but at those odds we’re more than happy to lay Jose Mourinho’s men.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Manchester United at 1.51.
