FA CUP SUNDAY: We preview Sunday’s FA Cup 4th Round games with Chelsea v Newcastle and Cardiff v Man City with recommended BETDAQ bets.
CHELSEA V NEWCASTLE
1.30pm Just the two FA Cup games to enjoy this afternoon and with the news coming on Friday that BETDAQ have gone 2% commission on all bets, let’s find two winners! Chelsea were pushed all the way in the last round against Norwich, needing penalties to beat them here in the replay. Against a Premier League side, they might not rest many players, however the FA Cup has lost some of it’s glamour in recent times – so with home advantage we may see a few of the main Chelsea XI rested.
Chelsea crashed out of the League Cup on Wednesday night when losing 2-1 to Arsenal, meaning that they have now only won once in their last six games in all competitions. Newcastle have really struggled this season though, and you’d have to expect Chelsea to beat them here. Indeed, we are surprised to see Chelsea as big as 1.46 at the time of writing. They may opt to rest some players, but at 1.46 we feel Chelsea are a couple of ticks too big.

CARDIFF V MANCHESTER CITY
4pm With the Premier League already won, and a place in the League Cup Final, now Manchester City turn their attention to the FA Cup. They shouldn’t have a problem getting past Cardiff, even though they are going well in the Championship this season. An area of concern for Guardiola at the moment has to be at the back – City have conceded in all of their last six coming into this game.
We feel that makes the handicap markets more interesting – with home advantage, Cardiff can find the net at some stage here. As we seen with Bristol midweek, City fired at the other end of the pitch but were unable to keep Bristol out. With Cardiff getting a 1.5 goal handicap and trading 2.0 – we’re happy to back them at those odds.
