The going for the final day of the Cheltenham Festival is once again being described as good, good to soft in place showing up 7.0 on the going stick.

There was no water put on the track on Thursday night ahead of Gold Day at Prestbury Park however there was 3-5mm added on Thursday night to maintain the ground conditions.

On course, it is reported as having a lot of dew on it and there is quite a dense fog in the area again this morning.

A decision on the participation of Last Instalment in the Gold Cup still has to be made however and connections will be walking the track at Cheltenham shortly with a final decision being made at around 10am. Last Instalment’s jockey Brian O’Connell said this morning; ‘’I thought the ground was be ok for him yesterday and there is a lot of dew out there now.’’

Racing gets underway at 1.30pm with the Triumph Hurdle while the feature race of the day, the Cheltenham Gold Cup is off at 3.20pm.
