Watch Markets
You can also learn more about the markets by simply watching them. Although it might sound strange, spend some time just watching the markets with no intention to put money down and you will start to see similar patterns and behaviour. Keep A Journal
A good idea when learning to trade is to keep some form of diary where you note all of your day’s activities and then review them at the end of the day. Also, you might notice that you go against your strategy at certain points, having a journal will allow you to spot this and put it right. Experiment
Although it would be amazing, it’s unlikely you’ll find one strategy now that will allow you to make money for the next twenty years so you have to experiment and find what works. Markets change and you will need to have a plan b and plan c so get to know different strategies and find out the ones that don’t work, as well as the ones that do work.
Read/Research
The internet can be a pain with fake systems and bogus strategies but it can also be extremely useful; there are thousands of people like you that are trying to make money on a daily basis so there is nothing wrong with reading their advice. Get to know the people who blog about trading and you will soon pick up some tips that will help you with your skill set. Watch Sport
If you really want to understand the markets and the sports you are putting money on, the only way you can do this is to watch the sports themselves. This doesn’t mean put it on in the background whilst doing something else, this means watching live football games, horse racing events, tennis matches, and even going back to watch sports as well as sports news channels. You will be surprised at just how much you learn and your subconscious mind may even pick up random facts that will help next time you go to put some money down.
