INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLIES: We preview tonight’s International Friendlies with a recommended BETDAQ bet including NETHERLANDS v ENGLAND at 7.45pm.

RUSSIA V BRAZIL

4pm International Friendly weeks can be quite boring, although we do have a few interesting ties today. We start with Brazil getting some experience of the set up in Russia ahead of the World Cup in the summer. You have to say that this was a shrewd move from Brazil, and they’ll probably get more out of this game compared to anyone else playing a friendly this week. Looking at the market, Brazil look very short as 1.61 – Russia have had some decent performances at home recently. They’ve held Spain to a draw, stopped Argentina from scoring until the 86th minute and went down only 1-0 to Portugal. With Neymar and with the freezing conditions, we have to lay Brazil at the odds – this one will definitely be a lot closer than odds of 1.61 suggest.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Brazil at 1.61.

TURKEY V REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

5.30pm Without a World Cup to prepare for, the Irish players will probably want to be anywhere else but Turkey! Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane will surely take this opportunity to have a look at some of the younger and fringe members of the side here, and with Turkey having home advantage – they could look massive at 2.06 should Ireland name a very inexperienced side. Ireland have an excellent away record though, only losing once in their last eight away games. It’s been well documented that they play better away from home, however its hard to trust that happening here with all the possible changes. We expect a quiet enough game here, and with under 2.5 goals trading 1.6 we’re happy to back that. Ireland game are generally always tight and it’s hard to see that being different here regards of the starting XI.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 1.6.

ARGENTINA V ITALY

7.45pm The first of tonight’s “Glamour Friendlies!” While these two are big sides and have plenty of stars on show, it’s still hard to see too many people being interested in this fixture. Italy have basically nothing to play for now that they aren’t going to the World Cup, and it’s hard to know how motivated they will be for this fixture. Similar to Ireland, we could see a lot of changes to the usual starting XI. Argentina weren’t impressive this year in their World Cup qualifying, however they got the job done in the end. We expect some changes to both sides, especially considering it’s a neutral venue with the fixture being played in the Etihad. We feel that Argentina should be slightly odds on for this fixture and with them currently trading 2.1, we’re happy to back them at those odds.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Argentina to beat Italy at 2.1.

GERMANY V SPAIN

7.45pm This is probably the most interesting fixture of the evening, with both these sides fancied for glory in Russia in the summer. With it being a friendly and with Champions League football coming up, it’s hard to see the players having their intensity levels too high though. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Germany 2.42, Spain 3.2 and the draw is 3.5. Both sides are unbeaten since Euro 2016 – and Germany have been very impressive since. With home advantage and their record coming into this game, you’d have to slightly favour them here. We like the Spain lay at 3.2 though – this game is bound to be a tight affair and to have the draw and Germany on our side looks good value at the odds.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Spain at 3.2.

NETHERLANDS V ENGLAND

7.45pm We end the night with England traveling to the Netherlands, and the match odds are surprising. The Netherlands are currently favourites; with the odds at the time of writing; Netherlands 2.62, England 3.15 and the draw is 3.3. The Netherlands were very poor in World Cup qualifying, and missed out on yet another major tournament. If England are to have any hope of doing well in the summer, they simply have to be beating sides like the Netherlands. It is a friendly and the intensity levels may be lower, but we have to back England here at 3.15. England haven’t exactly been impressive lately, however they have been solid. Netherlands have leaked goals and they have been playing poorly – the odds look wrong here and from a value point of view we’re very happy to back England.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
England to beat Netherlands at 3.15.
