Our top tipsters DAQMAN and SHAMROCK both delivered knock-out verdicts in the Ladbrokes St Leger on Saturday when they BOTH NAPPED easy winner LEADING LIGHT WON 7/2.

The horse was the subject of a late gamble and was available at better odds on BETDAQ on Saturday morning when our tipsters delivered their verdicts on BETDAQ TIPS.

Here’s a flashback to what they said:

DAQMAN

We know for certain that Leading Light (2m Queens Vase winner) and Galileo Rock will stay but we have a clear indication that Excess Knowledge is right there with them, since his stablemate, Feel Like Dancing, who defects from the field, ran up to Leading Light at Royal Ascot and his trainer, John Gosden, has won this three times since 2007.

leadinglightHowever, Gosden is on record as fearing soft ground for Excess Knowledge, and connections of Galileo Rock walked the course this morning, worried about the going. They found it good to soft, soft in places, though decided to run (‘not as bad as we thought’).

But, surely, the 6.0 Excess Knowledge and Galileo Rock are wrong because of the ground and the 6.0 Leading Light is, therefore, value.

The thing I like about Leading Light is how lazy and laid-back he is at home. He fooled them at Ballydoyle. Might have been their big contender all season but just never showed enough on the gallops. He saves it for the track.

SHAMROCK

Let’s deal with the Ladbrokes St Leger first of all. I made my intentions pretty clear earlier in the week that I was in the Leading Light camp for Aidan and Joseph O’Brien and I am sticking with him despite the slightly surprising news that the strong fellow Irish raider Galileo Rock will take his chance after all.

I say surprising as there was a fair amount of rain in the area last night which might well have tipped trainer David Wachman in favour of the Irish St Leger tomorrow.

But Wachman is happy and Galileo Rock travelled across this morning.

Leading Light often hits a flat/lazy patch during his races so you might even want to try and get on in running on BETDAQ at bigger odds but he has the vital huge big tick of stamina next to his name. He won the two mile Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot and he can win it for the stable that came so close to winning it last with their Triple Crown candidate Camelot.

It was a rare move – our tipsters not only napping in the same race – but on the same horse.

A case of great minds thinking alike ?

For good measure it was winners all round on BETDAQ TIPS on Saturday.

MATCH OF THE DAQ was also in good form on the St Leger with a successful BETDAQ match bet on Galileo Rock to beat Foundry

MULTIMAN landed a winning BETDAQ MULTIPLES treble for a profit on the day of 9.35 points

…. and on the MARKET MOVERS the top three positives ALL WON !!!!!

What a classic day.
