PREVIEW

Andy Murray and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga were confined to the table tennis table yesterday as the weather wreaked havoc with Sunday’s scheduled final. Weather permitting, Murray v Tsonga part two moves to the grass at lunch-time, as the pair battle it out for the 2011 Queen’s Championship.

Interestingly, since the tournament’s inception in 1979 there have six different players to do the Queen’s/Wimbledon double – Rafa Nadal was the last to manage the feat in 2008.

The Scot’s straight sets victory against Andy Roddick on Saturday was near perfection as he struck winner after winner, while breaking his opponent on numerous occasions. Tsonga’s performance was not quite at the same level, but he did have to overcome passionate local support for Jamie Ward.

Of the five meetings, Murray leads the head-to-head record 4-1 against Tsonga and the Scot won in four sets the last time the two meet on grass. Tsonga’s athleticism will mean Murray will have to work hard, but the form he’s shown this week means punters should back him to clinch his second title in three years.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Murray in two sets at around 1.81: 4 points

Sunday’s Return: -5 points
