Stoke City will attempt to become the first side this season to take points from Manchester United when the champions visit the Britannia Stadium, a home win is available at around 7.2 on BETDAQ.
United are yet to lose a game this season and have chalked up an incredible 21 goals in the five league games that they have played so far, which is seven more goals than City have netted in their campaign. Sir Alex’s side kept a clean sheet on their last away outing, after a 5-0 victory over Bolton at the Reebok Stadium.
However, in their meetings with Stoke last season, the games were tight in both fixtures and both finished in a 2-1 win for the Red Devils. In fact, the Potters have not managed to grab all three points against United since their League Cup game back in 1993. No surprise then that an away win for United is currently trading at around 1.56 on BETDAQ.
Tony Pulis’ men are currently sitting in fifth place in the Premier League, but suffered a 4-0 away loss against Sunderland in their match last week. Morale should be high at City though, coming off their midweek Carling Cup clash against Tottenham Hotspur, which was won on sudden-death penalties.
Stoke have also not lost a game at home, so a punt on a draw for the final result is available at around 4.3 on Betdaq. With Manchester United in full stride and scoring for fun, it might also be worth taking up the 2.04 stakes on Betdaq for three or more goals in the contest.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
United at around 1.64: 5 points
Friday’s Return: -5 points
