PREVIEW

Now that England have safely booked their place at next year’s European Championships, Premier League action returns to our screens and it gets underway with the Northwest Derby.

After a tough few games, Liverpool have started to find form once more and the Reds have won their past three games across all competitions. Kenny Dalglish’s side suffered back-to-back defeats at the hands of Stoke and Tottenham, but they remain undefeated at home.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s side currently sit top of the Premier League and are level with Manchester City after they slipped up at Stoke a few weeks back. United were convincingly beaten on their last trip to Anfield and they’ll be keen to get revenge over the rivals. That afternoon Dirk Kuyt scored a hat-trick and Luis Saurez was a constant threat to the visitors.

United have struggled against the Reds on Merseyside in recent seasons and their last win at the ground came back in 2007. During that period United have lost all three league encounters at Anfield.

Interestingly, the past few meetings have provided plenty of goals with there have been at least three goals in six of the past seven league matches. The average number of goals per game during that period currently stands at 3.6.

Both clubs are in excellent form and it looks set to be another close game. I would recommend backing the draw at around 3.3 on BETDAQ.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back the draw at around 3.3: 5 points
Friday’s Return: +5.36
