PREVIEW

The Dublin Super Cup kicks off tomorrow with Airtricity XI v Manchester City, before Celtic meet Inter Milan later in the afternoon.

Celtic got their domestic campaign off to a cracking start following a 2-0 win at Easter Road, which was even more significant as Rangers could only manage a tame 1-1 draw against Hearts at home.

Manager Neil Lennon will be very pleased with how his squad is progressing and also in knowing that Sunday’s victory was another game without conceding a goal. The back four will undoubtedly need to be at their best if they are to keep out the 2010 Champions League winners though.

The two clubs last clashed in the 1972 European Cup and those heading to the Aviva Stadium will be hoping for a little more goal action than both legs produced back then. Neither side could find a breakthrough over the two ties and the games finished goalless.

Striker Samuel Eto’o and man-in-demand Wesley Sneijder will provide Inter’s main attacking threat and both players will need to be well marshaled to keep them off the score sheet. The Italian side are available at around 1.72 to hand the Hoops their second loss of the week after the midweek game against Wolves.

Given that the Serie A doesn’t kick-off until the 28th August, Celtic should be sharper than their opponents but Inter possess a huge array of talent. With Inter having the better side on paper and Celtic the better fitness – a draw looks the most likely outcome.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back the draw at around 3.1: 4 points
