North London provides the scene for the second major derby of the weekend, as Arsenal travel to White Hart Lane for their fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. Spurs will want to continue their fine form that has seen them win their past three league games after a tricky start to the season.
After heavy defeats to both Manchester sides, Tottenham have found their feet and are looking in an excellent position to compound the Gunners’problems. Spurs currently sit sixth in the table with a game in hand on all other Premier League teams barring Everton.
Manager Harry Redknapp, will also take comfort in the fact that Arsenal have only won once in their last six league head-to-heads, which came in a 3-0 loss at The Emirates back in 2009. However, Tottenham did succumb to a 4-1 defeat to the Gunners at The Lane in last year’s Carling Cup effort.
Spurs are still favourites to win and can be backed at around 2.14 on BETDAQ for the outright victory in this afternoon’s match.
Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger has had an unsettling start to the season, as his side currently sit around mid-table after losing three of the six league fixtures Arsenal have played so far. They are also yet to win an away game in the league to date.
The Gunners are available at around 3.7 on BETDAQ for their first three-point result on their travels.
This fixture often provides plenty of goals and if last year’s games are anything to go by – then we can expect more tomorrow. The Gunners have been all over the place at the back and Emmanuel Adebayor would like nothing more than to add to the misery at his former club.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Tottenham Hotspur at around 2.14: 4 points
Saturday’s Return: +6 points
