PREVIEW

An impressive point at Ibrox gave Jim Jefferies a great start to the new SPL, although he’ll feel his side perhaps could have even taken all three points. Hearts return home this weekend where they await the arrival of Dundee United at Tynecastle.

Dundee had to come from behind to rescue a point against Kilmarnock at home on the opening weekend. Danny Swanson’s second half strike was enough to get a draw, but the side will be disappointed not to open with a win in front of their own fans.

These two clubs were separated by just two points last season, although both still qualified for the Europa League. Of the 76 games played against each other, the Terrors have picked up 33 wins, compared to Hearts’ 22 victories.

The Jambos will be missing a couple of important players after injuries to Andy Webster and Mehdi Taouil while away in Europe on Thursday. There’ll also be a few tired legs in the squad with two games in such quick succession.

With home advantage, Hearts are available at around 2.1 on Betdaq to pick up their first win of the campaign. However, I’d be more inclined to back the draw at 3.3 given that Hearts have not won in 12 SPL fixtures and the sides could not be separated on their most recent meeting.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back Hearts at around 2.12: 5 points

Saturday’s Return: -3.23
