PREVIEW

Poland meet France in Warsaw this evening for an international friendly and both will be full of confidence following impressive victories last time out. This will be Les Bleus’ second away game in four days after they hammered Ukraine 4-1 in Donetsk on Monday. Poland were also in action against Argentina on Sunday.

Laurent Blanc’s troops remain top of Group D in Euro 2012 qualifying, but their lead at the top is just a single point following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Belarus – although they do have a game in hand.

As Euro 2012 hosts, Poland will only play friendlies during the build up to the tournament next summer and that’ll mean Franciszek Smuda won’t be taking this match lightly. The hosts will need to keep a close eye on Sochaux forward, Marvin Martin, who scored twice against Ukraine on his international debut.

Poland put in a decent performance in their 2-1 win over Argentina in their last contest, with goals from Adrian Mierzejewski and Pawel Brozek handing the Poles victory.

Smuda will be delighted to be able to call upon Borussia Dortmund’s Robert Lewandowski and Lukasz Piszczek, who will undoubtedly help improve the starting XI.

Poland have conceded one goal or fewer in five of their last six games and with both sides perhaps suffering from tiredness it would be advisable to back under 2.5 goals at around 1.69 on the ‘Daq’.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back under 2.5 goals at around 1.69: 4 points

Wednesday’s Return: -4.00 points
