PREVIEW

Arsene Wenger’s season seems to being going from bad to worse. Not only did Arsenal get beaten 2-0 by Liverpool at the Emirates on Saturday lunch-time, they picked up their second league red card of the season. Defender Laurent Koscielny also limped off injured and is unlikely to be available for tonight’s big game.

Fans at the Emirates last Tuesday will be the first to admit that the Gunners were a little fortunate to head off to Italy with a slender advantage. Although the hosts scored early on, it was the visitors who had the better of the chances. Now Arsenal have it all to play for against Udinese in Italy and the side have had their fair amount of problems on their European travels.

Arsenal have only managed to win one of their past eight away European matches, but those that fancy them to turn it around in Italy can get around 3.4 on the ‘Daq’ for an away victory. In fact, the visitors have lost their past three away European League matches.

It should be an interesting contest as Udinese must score to have any chance of qualification, while the Gunners will know that an away goal will leave them in an excellent position to qualify.

I’m tempted to back the draw here as the Italians have not lost in their previous five home European matches, which includes a 2-0 against Tottenham back in 2008.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back the draw at around 3.35: 4 points
Tuesday’s Return: +4.02
