MATCH POINT: Our tennis tipping column previews the Australian Open Women’s tournament with three recommended bets on the BETDAQ 0% COMMISSION MARKET !!.

The Women’s tournament looks wide open in Melbourne this year with the BETDAQ 0% COMMISSION market headed by home favourite Ashleigh Barty who is bidding for a first Australian Slam.

Naomi Osaka looks the value at around 7.7. She has secured some of her best successes here – winning the title in 2019 and also last year.

She attempts to defend a title for the first time of which she said: “I think there’s of course added pressure. You always think about it more often than not. I just want to come into this tournament playing well. I think that bottom line if I play well, I’ll be able to get far. If I happen to lose, then that’s something that I can learn on and keep practicing and hopefully evolve from that. But currently, yes, I am a little bit nervous about having that ‘defending champion’ title on me, but like this is a whole new year and it’s technically a whole new tournament.”

Osaka plays her first match on Monday against Colombian world number 50 Camila Osorio on the Rod Laver Arena.

Odds of 37.0 about Emma Raducanu look slightly disrespectful against the Brit who had a fairytale in New York winning the US Open without dropping a set and coming from the qualifiers.

It’s far too early to be judgmental about Raducanu who will have gained huge confidence but she has had a nightmare start to 2022 losing 6-0 6-1 to world No 13 Elena Rybakina in the opening-round of the Sydney International.

It’s hardly an ideal preparation but if Raducanu can steady the ship and get through the first couple of rounds her price will surely tumble and there will be the perfect opportunity for a BETDAQ trade out for a free bet?

Completing my portfolio is Garbine Muguruza at around 12.5. She’s a former Wimbledon and French Open winner and went tantalisingly close here two years ago losing to Sofia Kenin in the final. She arrives in good form having won the season-ending WTA Finals in Mexico in November.
