MATCH POINT: Our tennis tipping column is is now 16.6 points up after a profitable Wimbledon. Next up: a recommended bet from the current BB & T Atlanta Open tournament in Atlanta.

Wimbledon was good to us in the end and the column is now 15.6 points up on all bets !!

The strategy of laying Serena Williams at the semi-final stage recovered the outright bets in the Women’s tournament whilst one of my two outright picks in the Mens was eventual winner Novak Djokovic.

Plenty of tennis action all year round on BETDAQ and there looks a good opportunity tonight in the BB & T Atlanta Open where Cameron Norrie looks a solid bet to beat Alexei Popyrin and progress to the semi-finals.

The two have never previously met but Britain’s number two Cameron Norrie is ranked 54 in the world – some way ahead of Popyrin in 95.

The tournament has already thrown up a shock exit in the form of five-times champion John Isner who went down at the hands of Reilly Opelka in a two and half hour, best of three sets, encounter.

Norrie progressed to this stage with a comfortable win over Kwon Soon-woo from South Korea (6-3, 6-2) whilst Alexei Popyrin also had a straight sets success in the last round beating fourth seed Pierre-Hugues Herbert 7-5, 6-3.

With Isner out the way there’s a huge window opening for some new talent to emerge and in the career of Norrie this represents a huge match. He’s had a generally positive hard court season so far reaching the final in Auckland and should now have the experience to see off the challenge from his younger Australian rival.

MATCH POINT BETS:
4 points CAMERON NORRIE to beat ALEXEI POPYRIN at around 1.90 on BETDAQ
