🇬🇧 MATCH POINT: Our tennis tipping column previews the ATP Finals on Sunday between Daniil Medvedev v Dominic Thiem with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

The French Open ended with a small but very welcome profit of 3.9 points. It was looking like another Novak Djokovic vs Rafael Nadal final in the ATP Finals in London but both were defeated in the semi-finals in further evidence of a changing of the guard in the mens game.

So we can now look forward to Daniil Medvedev v Dominic Thiem at the O2 on Sunday and remember all tennis trades are 0% COMMISSION on the BETDAQ Betting Exchange

The O2 host the event for the final time. After 12 years it will now move on to Turin in 2021.

Thiem surprisingly is the second favourite, despite having won his first Grand Slam title in New York this September. Thiem also leads the head to head 3-1 with the last meeting coming in the semi-finals at Flushing Meadow where Thiem won in straight sets.

Medvedev is fully aware of the task ahead of him. He said: “It’s great that we managed to beat two of the biggest players in the history of sport. I think it’s super for tennis. We are starting to make our mark. Dominic won his first slam, he’s playing unbelievable tennis right now. Hopefully I can play good like this and I can for sure cause him some trouble.”

Thiem should be too strong and I’ll take him for both the outright win and a straight sets victory.
