MATCH POINT: Our tennis tipping column notched up a 41 points profit in the US Open Women’s tournament after Andreescu’s win at 14.5 pre-tournament !!! Now for the Men’s Final and some final adjustments.

What a great result with Bianca Andreescu’s win in the US Open Women’s.

I recommended her pre-tournament at 14.5 on BETDAQ and it’s a net profit of 41 points after the two losing bets of Serena Williams and Pliskova are deducted plus the two ‘savers’ on Svitolina and Bencic.

I must admit I was starting to get a little worried when Williams stormed back into the second set and certainly wouldn’t have wanted to have seen a third set but the teenager held her nerve to go on for a famous win.

It was very much changing of the guard and I just wonder whether we’ll see a further upset tonight in the Mens at Flushing Meadow?

My ante-post portfolio is looking pretty bright….

MATCH POINT BETS:
3 points THIEM at around 46.00 on BETDAQ
4 points MEDVEDEV at around 19.0 on BETDAQ
8 points DJOKOVIC at around 2.2 on BETDAQ

However, having finished with a 41 point profit on the Women’s tournament I don’t particularly want to give 15 points back on the basis of a Nadal win – especially having gone so far with Medvedev at 19.0 pre-tournament.  So, you’ve guessed it, a little BETDAQ trading is again called for !!

Medvedev is 5.5 on BETDAQ to lift the title so I want to balance the books a little to still leave a nice profit on the Russian but take some of the sting out of a Nadal win.

So I recommended laying Medvedev at 5.5 for 8 points which will leave the book as follows:

MEDVEDEV WIN: PROFIT 25.0 POINTS
NADAL WIN: LOSS 7.0 points

So whatever happens, the US Open has been very profitable for followers. Worse case across Men and Women a profit of 34 points, best case 66 points, which is great news and gives some ammunition for the weeks ahead on the BETDAQ tennis markets.

I think the final could be close. I’ve obviously in the Medvedev camp but have been really impressed with his progress and he showed great power in his straight sets win over Grigor Dimitrov in the semi-final.

He’s bidding for a first major – Nadal is bidding for 19 tonight, one short of Federer’s all-time record of 20.

Plenty at stake but as we saw 24 hours ago age, eventually, breaks down barriers.

MATCH POINT BETS:
LAY TO WIN 8 points MEDVEDEV at around 5.5 on BETDAQ

(PROFIT ON ALL SELECTIONS TO DATE 63.2 points)
