It was a case of money back on Thursday as Insaany was a non runner.
It was probably just as well though, as the selection, What About Carlo finished last, so it was a bonus to get our money back !!
Germany ripped up the whole script for the World Cup when slamming Brazil 7-1 in the semi-finals.
So much so that it’s impossible to know what to expect in this non-entity of a match for the bronze medal.
Such was the pain and mauling inflicted on Brazil that’s it’s hard to predict that they will want to fight – even for pride – even in front of their home fans. What’s clear is a long re-building process is needed and it’s unlikely to start here at the end of a busy campaign.
The same holds true for the Netherlands who had a gruelling semi-final only losing out on a penalty shoot out with Argentina and have had one less day to recover.
The BETDAQ win market is interesting. Brazil are favourites at 2.18 but would probably be odds-on in any other scenario with home advantage behind them. How much of an advantage that will prove to be is debatable after their fans booed them off the pitch in the ultimate humiliation.
A draw after 90 minutes looks the best bet. And Brazil’s agony will be pro-longed for even longer.
