PREMIER LEAGUE: We preview Friday’s Premier League game between CARDIFF v WOLVES with extended stats and a recommended BETDAQ bet.

CARDIFF V WOLVERHAMPTON

8pm For the first time in a while we have Friday Night Football to enjoy as Cardiff welcome Wolves. It wasn’t so long ago that this fixture took place in the Championship when Wolves came out 1-0 winners but not without a huge amount of drama. Wolves have certainly adjusted to life in the Premier League well while Cardiff are battling hard to stay up.

We have a pretty open market with the away side the clear favourites. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Cardiff 3.85, Wolverhampton 2.26 and the draw is 3.25. Cardiff have certainly performed better in front of their own fans compared to away and they will be hoping that solid home form can keep them up this season.

Wolves obviously started the season well however they have had a poor run of late and dropped into the bottom half of their table. They have had to play Arsenal and Spurs in their last five games; however they come here without a win in five and the 2.26 on them looks very short. You can forgive them not beating Arsenal or Spurs – indeed they performed well against both – however they lost their last game at home to Huddersfield 2-0 and have lost to Brighton and Watford recently too.

We expect a close game here with a solid Cardiff performance in front of their home fans. The 2.26 on Wolves looks very short and a cracking value lay – we expect the game to be a lot closer than those odds suggest.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Wolverhampton at 2.26.
