PREMIER LEAGUE FRIDAY: We look ahead to Friday’s Premier League game between WOLVES v LIVERPOOL with extended stats and recommended BETDAQ bets.

WOLVERHAMPTON V LIVERPOOL

8pm Friday Night Football is back and we have a cracking game to watch as Wolves host league leaders Liverpool. Klopp’s men will obviously come into this fixture on a high after beating Manchester United 3-1 and winning a crunch game against Napoli in the Champions League; however this should be a very tough fixture. Wolves have won their last three games, including a 2-1 win over Chelsea here very recently.

Liverpool are heavy odds on favourites with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Wolverhampton 7.0, Liverpool 1.55 and the draw is 4.6. Let’s not forget that Wolves have held Manchester City to a draw already this season, along with Manchester United (but that isn’t hard these days!) and Liverpool look pretty short at 1.55 – if Wolves were able to give City a tough game they can do the same against Liverpool.

Klopp has his Liverpool squad in a great place at the moment and they are playing some brilliant football – they justifiably sit top of the Premier League, however we’re happy to take them on here at the odds. We fully expect Wolves to make this game feel a lot closer than odds of 1.55 suggest on Liverpool and looking at the list of great results Wolves have had against the bigger sides this season – it’s hard to see why Liverpool are so short away from home. From a value point of view, we have to lay Liverpool.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Liverpool at 1.55.

  • Wolves are looking to win four consecutive top-flight games for the first time since January 1972.
  • Wolves will be the 27 th different side Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has faced in the Premier League – he’s beaten all previous 26 sides so far.
  • Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has been directly involved in 10 goals in eight Premier League appearances against newly-promoted teams for the Reds (5 goals, 5 assists). The Egyptian has scored in each of his last five Premier League appearances against newly-promoted teams.
