PREMIER LEAGUE FRIDAY: We preview Friday’s Premier League clash between West Ham and Brighton – both sides are on eight points after eight games. Find out our recommended BETDAQ bet.

WEST HAM V BRIGHTON

8pm Friday Night Football returns tonight with Brighton traveling to London to take on West Ham. Both sides are currently sitting right beside each other in the table with Brighton in 14th and West Ham in 15th, both on eight points after eight games. West Ham are odds on favourites though, with the match odds at the time of writing currently; West Ham 1.9, Brighton 5.1 and the draw 3.55.

West Ham had a very poor start to the season, however in recent games they have steadied the ships and have improved vastly at the back. They’ve only lost once in their last six in all competitions now, and that was against Spurs when they only lost by one goal although they did concede three. Brighton have offered very little going forward away from home thus far in the Premier League with only one goal to show from four away games. They did record a 1-1 draw at home to Everton last weekend, however Everton are struggling.

Based on the improved West Ham defence and Brighton’s record away from home, we strongly feel that the value here is with the home win at 1.9. Under 2.5 goals would certainly be of interest too at around the 1.74 mark given Brighton’s goal scoring record away from home. However, on balance we prefer the West Ham win at 1.9.
