PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY: We preview Saturday’s Premier League games with a recommended BETDAQ bets including the opening NEWCASTLE v SPURS clash.

NEWCASTLE V TOTTENHAM

12.30pm It’s the first Premier League Saturday of the season! We start the early kick off with Spurs traveling to take on Newcastle. This is always a tricky place for sides to visit, and it’s no surprise to see Spurs trading odds against on BETDAQ. At the time of writing the match odds are currently; Newcastle 4.0, Tottenham 2.1 and the draw is 3.55. We actually had this exact fixture on the opening day last season, and Spurs came out on top 2-0. Spurs haven’t done much business this summer in the transfer window and anything but three points here will see their fanbase already question if they are really title challengers. We can see Newcastle sitting back and trying to rob this one on the break; however it’s hard to see them winning the break. We can see a quiet start to the first PL Saturday and under 2.5 goals at 1.9 looks good value to start the day.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 1.9.

BOURNEMOUTH V CARDIFF

3pm Bournemouth welcome one of the new boys to the Premier League on Saturday as Cardiff come to town. Bournemouth have had a steady transfer window and they will be looking finish somewhere between 8th and 14th this season. Cardiff will only have one goal this season and that’s to stay in the Premier League. Cardiff were solid last year, however we expect them to struggle in the Premier League this season and it will be very interesting to see how they get on. Bournemouth have plenty of goals in their team and we expect that to be the edge today – we like the home side at 1.94.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Bournemouth to beat Cardiff at 1.94.

FULHAM V CRYSTAL PALACE

3pm After a while out of the Premier League, Fulham make their return at home to Crystal Palace! Back in the day Fulham were always solid and tough to beat at home – and the market is expecting a good start for them here as they are favourites. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Fulham 2.58, Crystal Palace 3.05 and the draw is 3.45. Roy Hodgson has done a wonderful job with Crystal Palace and he will be hoping for a much higher finish in the table than last season. At times Palace have been very impressive, however they have also been very frustrating at times and it would be unwise to call them a reliable team – for the time being anyway. However, we still feel that the value here is with the Fulham lay at 2.58 – that looks very short for a side, although experienced, in the first Premier League game against a side with the quality that Crystal Palace have. We expect a much closer game than those odds suggest.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Fulham at 2.58.

HUDDERSFIELD V CHELSEA

3pm Mauizio Surri takes charge of his first Premier League game today as Chelsea travel to take on Huddersfield. Manchester City gave him his first official loss in English football last weekend, and he will be hoping for a different result here! It’s fair to say that Chelsea will be battling for a top four spot this season rather than fighting for the title. With a new manager it always takes time to bed in new systems and new ideas, and at times in the Community Shield Chelsea players looked a little lost – however they did have that look last season too! Huddersfield were the joint-lowest scorers in the PL last season however they did have some good results at home – we’re going to take a chance here and lay Chelsea at 1.64 – we expect Huddersfield to give them a tough time as it takes a little while for their new manager to settle in.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Chelsea at 1.64.

WATFORD V BRIGHTON

3pm Watford have been busy in the transfer window this summer and it will be very interesting to see how they line up today. They were very unpredictable last season – losing plenty of games they should have won while going out and impressively beating some of the bigger sides. They will be hoping to be more consistent this season and finish higher in the table. They should be able to beat this Brighton side who struggled at times last season – Watford look good value at 2.44 after their positive summer and were happy to back them to get off to a winning start.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Watford to beat Brighton at 2.44.

WOLVERHAMPTON V EVERTON

5.30pm It’s hard to believe after all the type surrounding Everton last summer that Wolves are a shorter price than Everton to win the Premier League title! Obviously either winning would be a huge shock, however as we seen with Leicester – rule out nothing these days! Wolves have obviously done good business this summer, however they do seem to be overbet – certainly in the antepost market and perhaps this is the time to take them on. Everton haven’t been good away from home for a number of season though and that has to be a worry. However with Wolves only trading 2.42 at the time of writing, we still like the Wolves lay at those odds. We fully expect a tough test for both sides here and we can see Everton making the game a lot closer than the odds on Wolves suggest. The Wolves lay looks the best lay of the day.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Wolverhampton at 2.42.
