PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY: We preview Saturday’s Premier League games with a recommended BETDAQ bet starting off with BRIGHTON v CHELSEA at 12.30pm.

BRIGHTON V CHELSEA

12.30pm An interesting match to start the day! A 1-1 draw with Norwich in their FA Cup replay midweek means Chelsea are now five games without a win, drawing all of them. They’re had three 0-0 draws and a 2-2 with Arsenal in that run too. Three goals in five games is obviously a shocking return for a side with the quality of Chelsea, however they are meeting a side here who are struggling to score more than them! Brighton have only netted four goals in their last 11 games and managed to lose 2-0 to the struggling West Brom last weekend. Its hard to see them scoring against a very tight Chelsea defense here and Chelsea look massive at 1.65 to start the day – we can’t look past that as our best bet, indeed it looks like one of the best bets of the day.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Chelsea to beat Brighton at 1.65.

ARSENAL V CRYSTAL PALACE

3pm Another embarrassing week for Arsenal football club! When will it end? After losing to Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup, if Sanchez didn’t want to leave before that, he’s on the way out now. It’s highly likely that the atmosphere in the stadium is going to be quite negative here, and we could have a few Wenger Out chants quite early if Arsenal don’t take the lead. They are now without a win in their last five, and look short here at 1.52. Their record at home this season has been good, however Crystal Palace have proven hard to beat a lot this season since Hodgson came in. Palace have drawn a lot of games and with the draw trading 4.8 here, we feel that offers some value. It will be interesting to see the atmosphere in the stadium and how Arsenal play given the situation around the club.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Draw at 4.8.

BURNLEY V MANCHESTER UNITED

3pm Burnley are still holding onto seventh position in the Premier League table, however results are starting to slip. They are without a win in their last six in all competitions, with the only highlight of those games being a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford! The sides meet again quickly here, and United look a bit short at 1.61 considering they couldn’t beat Burnley at home, and Burnley have proven tough to beat this season. In their last two home games, they’ve lost to Liverpool and Spurs – and United haven’t conceded a goal in their last four games. So we’re leaning away from the United lay at 1.61, instead we like under 2.5 goals at 1.78 – we expect this to a very tight affair with Burnley being tough to break down at home. United seem very solid at the back at the moment, and we fancy this one is a low scoring game.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 1.78.

EVERTON V WEST BROM

3pm It took a while but West Brom finally got a much needed win in the Premier League last weekend against Brighton. One swallow does not make a summer as they say though, Brighton have only scored four goals in 11 games and West Brom were at home. Everton simply look too big here at 2.24 – they were very poor last weekend away to Spurs, however West Brom are not playing anywhere close to the level of Spurs and this should be an easier task for Everton. Over all, West Brom have been very poor this season and Pardew hasn’t really improved the team – they could have been lucky with last week’s result against a struggling side and we have to see more from them to change our mind. Everton at 2.24 looks great value.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Everton to beat West Brom at 2.24.

LEICESTER V WATFORD

3pm These sides met very recently on Boxing Day, and Watford won 2-1. That was Watford’s only win in their last ten league games though, and Leicester look massive at 1.89 to get one back today. Leicester have been a different side at home compared to away in recent times, and that can explain the loss away from home to Watford. We have to say, it came as a surprise given Watford’s form going into that clash. Both sides have seen plenty of goals in their recent games and throughout the season, so we could have plenty of goals in this one, but we can’t get away from Leicester here at 1.89 against a Watford side struggling for form.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Leicester to beat Watford at 1.89.

STOKE V HUDDERSFIELD

3pm After United brushed aside Stoke on Monday night, this will be Paul Lambert’s first game in charge. You could say he has a relatively easy start against a promoted side, and Huddersfield are without a win in their last five games in the Premier League. The thing is though, can you back a side who have lost six of their last eight and failed to score in three of their last five at home? Those are the stats that Stoke bring into this game, and while we often see a bounce when a new manager comes in – we can’t resist the Stoke lay from a value point of view for this game. At around 2.1, we’ll look no further than a small lay of Stoke.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Stoke at 2.1.

WEST HAM V BOURNEMOUTH

3pm Credit to David Moyes, as things are going well at West Ham. Not many would have seen him improving the side this much when he came in, and now they have been beaten just once in their last eight games. They haven’t had easy fixtures either, and this will be an interesting clash as Bournemouth are in good form too. Although they did get beaten 3-0 against Wigan in their FA Cup replay midweek. These sides clashed recently on Boxing Day when we had a 3-3 thriller. With West Ham at home now though, we feel that they can get the job done here and at 2.06 they look a very good price.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
West Ham to beat Bournemouth at 2.06.

MANCHESTER CITY V NEWCASTLE

5.30pm Manchester City suffered their first Premier League defeat of the season last weekend in a 4-3 classic with Liverpool, they should easily get back to winning ways here though. They are currently trading as short as 1.14 in the 90 match odds market, and it’s only really been this season we’ve seen teams trade as short as that in the Premier League – and its mostly been City too! Newcastle had been on a desperate nine game run prior to collecting some points lately, however against the league leaders it’s fair to say that they have no chance here. It’s likely that they’ll come here to defend, and City haven’t been scoring the goals that they have been towards the start of the season. So we’re happy to lay Any Other Home Win (Man City to score four or more and win) at 2.5 in the correct score market. Of course, we see a City win, but Newcastle can keep them down to two or three goals.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Any Other Home Win at 2.5.
