PREMIER LEAGUE SUNDAY: We preview Sunday’s three Premier League games with recommended BETDAQ bets.
LIVERPOOL V WEST HAM
1.30pm There’s been a lot of hype around Liverpool this summer and we finally get to see how they perform on Sunday! West Ham have made some good summer signings too – and this should be a very entertaining game. Klopp’s men are clear second favourites to win the Premier League title, and while the media has been bashing Jose Mourinho – it seems Klopp can do no wrong at the moment. As we all know in football though, opinions can change very quickly and Liverpool will need to get off to a winning start here.
Given the way they scored goals last season, it’s impossible see anything bar a Liverpool win here. The markets agree with Liverpool heavy odds on favourites – at the time of writing they are trading as short at 1.27, with West Ham 13.5 and the draw is 6.6. We can see Liverpool starting the season with a bang and we like them to cover the handicap – they’re 1.75 -1.5 goals and that looks great value given the number of goals they scored last season.

SOUTHAMPTON V BURNLEY
1.30pm Southampton spent the whole of last season fighting to stay in the Premier League and they just about did it. They definitely had many times of worry and it’s fair to say that they were consistently over-bet last season – maybe not towards the end of the season when they had something to play for and other sides didn’t – however definitely in the middle of the season.
Looking at the odds here, we may have a similar situation this season! It’s hard to believe that Southampton are as short at 1.89 to win games like this after the way they played last season. Especially against this solid Burnley side who proved that they are very tough to beat – indeed they had an excellent season last season. We simply have to lay Southampton at the odds here – it looks the best lay of the weekend from a value point of view.

ARSENAL V MANCHESTER CITY
4pm What a superb game for our first 4pm Super Sunday game! Arsenal had an epic game to start the season last year, hopefully we see just as much drama here today. Manchester City dominated the league last season and we can expect them to do the same this season – they were smart with their transfer business during the summer and it’s hard to see the other sides improving enough to beat them. Liverpool might be able to beat City; however can they prove as consistent as them over the course of the season?
Arsenal had a very poor year last season and we expect them to perform pretty similar this year. It’s very difficult to see them improving enough to challenge for a Top Four spot and it just seems that they can’t compete with the bigger sides these days. City had a lovely warm up in the Community Shield last weekend and we fully expect them to outclass this Arsenal side – they look great value at 1.98.
