Newcastle v Manchester City 7.45pm: After some brilliant drama at the top of the Premier League over the last two days, attentions turn to the bottom when Newcastle face Man City tonight in St James Park.

This should be a decent game to watch given the pressure on both sides. City seem to have a harder run in than Man United so dropping points here will be a big blow to their Top 4 hopes, especially considering they have to factor in Champions League commitments as well. They still have to play Arsenal too, meaning that at least one, if not both could drop points that game, meaning that United will be well in the hunt for a Top 4 position if City slip up tonight.

Newcastle meanwhile face a different level of pressure, a win tonight by two goals and they move out of the relegation zone. After their impressive 3-0 win the weekend confidence will surely be high in the camp, however their long-term record against City is dreadful – they have won none of the last 18 league meetings between the sides, and City have won the last 12 in a row. City have also won seven of their last eight visits to St James Park, a tough night ahead for Newcastle then!

It’s hard to see anything but a City win tonight, but at 1.59 in the 90 minutes market, we want to look elsewhere for some bigger prices. Newcastle will obviously have to be wary of the goal difference situation at the bottom, however there could be some value in City goals here, they have scored 23 goals in their last six league games against the Magpies, while only conceding once.

A Man City clean sheet is priced at around 2.6, but that could be risky given their poor defence away from home this season, it could pay to keep things straightforward, and Man City are currently trading around 2.0 -1 on the Asian Handicap. And after we landed a 10.0 winning tip on Any Other Away Win last night, it could be worth backing the same again tonight at around 7.0 given City’s goalscoring record against Newcastle in the past. On the first and anytime goalscorer markets, Aguero has scored ten goals in eight games against Newcastle.
