NOW 5 FROM 6 NAPS: SHAMROCK continues in good form and hopes to end the Cheltenham Festival with another winning nap.

Laurina could hardly have been more impressive to land the nap and ONLY bet on Thursday.

She was short enough in the market but the old adage of a short priced winner being better than long priced losers still applies and even more so when you just have the one bet on the day and clear a nice a percentage profit.

It’s now 5 WINNING NAPS from the last 6:

Fri: PALLASATOR (NAP) WON 2/1
Sat: SAGLAWY (NAP) WON 2/5
Mon: SIR DANILO (NAP) WON 5/4
Tue: GETABIRD (NAP) LOST
Wed: SAMCRO (NAP) WON 8/11
Thu: LAURINA (NAP) WON 4/7

This looks by far the toughest day of the whole meeting with a wide open Gold Cup, the Foxhunter and two ultra competitive handicaps to conclude proceedings.

In the opening Triumph Hurdle, which has an unusually small field of nine, Apple’s Shakira has been backed off the boards this morning and is the top BETDAQ positive of the day.

But at better odds than Apple’s Shakira is on the win market, I can back the unbeaten Willie Mullins runner Mr Adjudicator on the place market (2.66 at the time of writing).

With the three places up for grabs and three big priced runners in the race we are effectively shooting for three places with just six runners and given the form that Mullins is in this week I’m happy to get involved.

Mr Adjudicator was impressive on his hurdling debut for the yard at Leopardstown and followed that up back over the same course and distance beating Farclas (re-opposes today) in a Grade 1.

Mullins doesn’t have a great record in this – his last winner was in 2002 but I’m hopeful of a place return and am just playing in that market with the nap.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
PLACE NAP: Mr Adjudicator (1.30 Cheltenham)
