MULLINS TO STRIKE AT CORK: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the three mile maiden hurdle on this evening’s Cork card at 7.20pm.

Willie Mullins should land the three mile maiden hurdle at Cork tonight with Savina.

The five-year-old made a winning debut in a bumper at Tramore and whilst the three mile trip is a question mark for her, and several of her rivals, there is every chance she will see out the trip based on her breeding.

The Gordon Elliott trained runner Santana Plessis has been consistent in bumpers without winning but has now been a beaten favourite on three occasions. There were no excuses when he was beaten seven lengths at Downpatrick last time out and the step-up in trip for him isn’t an obvious positive.

Sky Marshall hasn’t been seen since pulling up at Limerick in March on heavy ground. He notched up a hat-trick on the flat when trained by Ed Walker and is another who is stepping into uncharted waters distance wise.

NAP: Savina (7.20 Cork)
