THURLES NAP: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the closing bumper at Thurles today.
Fighting Fit was a faller at Clonmel yesterday when still in contention. The TV commentators seemed to think he still had a big chance although I thought he was probably held at the end.
We can hopefully get the NAPS back on track today with Energumene in the closing bumper at Thurles.
The Willie Mullins trained runner has a much better chance now that the Joseph O’Brien trained Battle Of Actium is a non runner.
Energumene won his debut point at Larkhill and made a pleasing bumper (and stable) debut at Navan when third. He should improve for that run and should get the better of the Gordon Elliott trained Frontal Assault who has only shown modest ability in two points.
