7/4 NAP JET SETTING FLIES HOME: SHAMROCK landed a 7/4 WINNING NAP on Sunday with Jet Setting (NAP) WON 7/4 in the Concorde Stakes at Tipperary. SHAMROCK also collected with a place return from Order Of St George in the Arc – his only two sections of the day.

Jet Setting was the appropriately named winner of the Concorde Stakes at Tipperary yesterday to land the NAP at 7/4 and she really did fly home winning by an eased down six and a half lengths. It was great to see the Irish 1000 Guineas winner back to her best.

I think all the superlatives have been exhausted about Aidan O’Brien’s flight to the stratosphere with his sensational 1-2-3 in yesterday’s Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Chantilly.

Found made up for her unlucky run in the race last year and since that race has been the model of consistency, despite often being the bridesmaid. She ‘found’ conditions ideal yesterday and saw off the challenge from stable companions Highland Reel and Order Of St George (recommended win and place).

Aidan O’Brien said: “I’m so delighted for everyone. It’s a big team effort.

“It’s a privilege to be here and be part of it. How can you see anything higher (in his career) than this?

“I couldn’t dream this would happen. You know how difficult the Arc is.

“She’s only run over a mile and a half four times before and she was unlucky in the Arc last year.”

Back at home Limerick stage an eight race card this afternoon on soft ground.

It looks a tough punting card but hopefully Burning Sword can make it third time lucky with a win in the finale. He has already proven he can handle the soft ground and shouldn’t need to improve much from his Galway and Listowel efforts to take this.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Burning Sword (5.35 Limerick)
