MIXED CARD AT KILLARNEY ON MONDAY EVENING: SHAMROCK looks at the Listed Cairn Rouge Stakes at 6.50pm.

There’s a decent turnout for the Listed Cairn Rouge Stakes at Killarney this evening.

A field of 10 fillies go to post for the one mile contest and Aidan O’Brien runs Easter who bids to follow up on the success of Palace for the stable last year.

Easter is only lightly raced having had four starts – she has run well in each of them including her maiden win at Leopardstown. She finished fifth in a Group 3 over this trip at the Curragh to shock 100/1 winner Ramone and has since finished third to stable companion Outstanding in the Naas Oaks Trial. She looks a likely sort for this contest and could prove hard to beat.

Military Angel finished last of the 18 runners in the Irish 1,000 Guineas but has run well since, finishing fourth to Heaven’s Guest at Naas in the Listed Owenstown Stud Stakes and most recently a close up second to Colour Blue in a Curragh handicap. She looks the biggest danger.

In the concluding mares bumper Ballinderry Moth should be able to follow up on her impressive course and distance win last time out and see off the challenge of Aidan O’Brien’s Limerick winner Rosshaven Lady.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Easter (6.50 Killarney)
NEXT BEST: Ballinderry Moth (8.50 Killarney)
